Franklin done?
This is only an accusation.   Nothing more at this point.  Sounds far fetched too.

Perhaps, but if he received such a complaint and blew it off instead of running it up the proper channels, then that would obviously be a problem, given their history on such matters.

True.   I would hope he is way more intelligent than that, given the sensitivity to the past.  ( or just in the name of human decency)

franklin may be 'on the scale' and i don't mean that as bad as it sounds.. he's a great football mind i'm thinking, but along with that he is a bit 'out there'- his focus and weird correlations being mistaken for supreme arrogance...

case in point- while at vandy he told assistant coaches applying for the position to "bring your wives or a picture of your wife" and his reasoning is/was "if you can't recruit a beautiful wife then you can't recruit good players".... true? maybe... but for certain not something you would say much less follow through with. he didn't understand the backlash- and that was accepted as arrogance... i'm not certain it was... i really think he was as bewildered by 'our' not grasping his position as we were by his demanding compliance with it.

if he were a field commander in an army somewhere, he'd be in that glass box 'break in case of war' and not running the streets during liberty in uniform... by my reckoning, anyway.

Sounds familiar, only, I've heard worse from higher places, and that guy is worshipped.

Franklin done?

If anything this strengthens Franklin’s stay with Penn State because once the bad press moves on to the next round of drama Penn State & Franklin will stick by each other without any worry of another schools hoping to bid for his services like Texas A&M did with Jimbo. Remember, USC wants to hire Meyer but are hesitant to combine Meyer’s “baggage” with their much more serious baggage. Franklin was a name expected to be interviewed by USC if they hadn’t stupidly retained Clay Helton. Not anymore.

you'll often find folks that are really good at what they do are really mediocre or worse at other things, as an ability to keenly focus is an advantage most of us don't have (or most folks don't have- being 'rounded').  sorta like competitive chess players- they are a different sort.. or athletes at a level most will never achieve and their competitive drive... it's not a bad thing until it crosses a reference point most folks call 'decency'.

the one i'm thinking you're suggesting, @mcwterps1 (https://www.cfb51.com/index.php?action=profile;u=1590) , is another thing altogether- and one those in his profession can't grasp while most American's can.  just my opinion, though.

Still waiting to find a female that does not loathe the doors.

Maybe try a Parisian girl? I didn’t even know who Jim Morrison was until I visited Paris and saw his face postered EVERYWHERE. (Died in Paris, buried in Paris.)
