Title: has UF just had their "Fire Solich" or "Fire Fulmer" moment?

Not that McElway is the same caliber as those two.... but... this is the first tribulation of a new AD- can he find magic or is that sprinkler empty?

Scott Frost... I wager he's on their short list... that, and retain Shannon.

There's arguments for and against Mac.  The fact that he's an offense guy and the offense is still toiling in the 100s, rankings-wise doesn't help.  Then there's the results, where he won the East his first 2 years without an offense, so imagine when UF has one, how good they'll be.

If he's being let go because he was dishonest, fine.  If he's being let go because he's not winning enough, fine.  What isn't okay is letting him go for one reason and pretending it's the other.  I'm not going to pretend to know either way.

I've heard the argument about Mac's lack of offense. I don't buy it. Fans care about W's. Mack was fired because he did not win the SEC the first two years and his team is not competitive this year.

Well, the offense was an even bigger issue than under Muschamp because McElwain is an offense guy.  With WM, you could just say he needs to hire a great OC and it'll be fine.  With JM, uhhh, there's no fixing it with a new OC - it's his offense.
