Somehow it's hard for me not to see this as a real tough road game.
I saw a spread somewhere of 25 points. That could be a record for the series for away teams.

Tennessee is really just not a good football team right now and when you turn the ball over like they do it makes it snowball. They have some talent sprinkled out there just haven't put anything together really.

Cincy you and Kirby Smart must not have been watching the same Tennessee team as everyone else.
It won't be pretty unless Georgia decides to slow it down playing 3 yards and a cloud of dust football.
If they run a balanced offense and Fromm gets to throw the ball it will be over by half time.

when i watch every game this season i see the same problems over and over- confused D's, offense not doing anything resembling execution (more like misfires), and not a whole lot of dedication to plays.
my hope is JG's handlers, the ones that demand he throws games, are now asking him to haul this one in. The way that kid has played the only thing that makes sense is his family is in the clutches of russian mafia bookmakers who leverage him.
the spread is 24 last time i looked. hopefully the money is on an outright UT win with those pesky rusky's, instead of playing closer than the spread. that's the hope- and my story. i'm sticking to it.

Oogah just leaned... The delta in weight of the rosters was fully evident by the third and by late fourth it was pitiful.
However I'd like to point something out about the play that scooped and scored for UGA, cleaned Mauers clock, and ran over a ref: it was the 'right' O call. It was a never before seen UGA call.
UGA had every lane plugged and were showing blitz. The RB covered the strong side of the line and protected QB. The weak side of the line had a LB and a DB abandon the receiver and go right at mauer. A if Mauer would have scanned the weak side first as he should have seeing as how the strong side had a RB protecting he'd have seen two things: that blitz coming at him AND a wide open receiver with nobody between him and the paint.
It wouldnt have made a difference in the outcome one bit... But it shows the difference is often ONE tiny mistake in execution that costs hugely.
Meanwhile I watched UT actually get pressure on the UGA backfield a couple times just to watch Fromm calmly step forward into protection of the pocket, using seemingly peripheral vision and never not scanning downfield.
He doesnt make little mistakes at this stage in his game.
That D play UGA broke out in that scoop and score can only be ran if you KNOW you can get in the QBs face QUICKLY. Ive only seen that game once and that happened late and while my wifes drunken friends wouldnt leave me alone. I'm going to try to catch it again this week and see if Mauer was guilty of scanning the same pattern all game, and/or if he did so regardless of where his protection was. Intuitively I'm thinking he must have been for UGA to sign in such a risky play. It damn sure paid off, though.

Fromm didn't see much pressure at all, he held the ball often longer than typical because he could while he calmly scanned the field.
I don't know the best way to defend Fromm short of convincing him to leave early to go to the league.

We've never seen Fromm without a dominant running game behind him. How'd he fare when his RBs aren't gashing for 7 yards a carry?

As we have never seen him in that situation, we don't know.

We did last year. After UGA's second drive LSU went to a heavier front and it was nothing doing on the ground most of the rest of the way. Fromm wasn't bad per se, that I recall, but it definitely hurt.
iirc, Texas stuffed the run quite a bit and that didn't go too well either.
It's not really a knock....most QBs don't look so hot trying to do everything themselves.

Yeah, it has happened, not against inferior teams. Play calling has been suspect IMHO when it has happened.
What ever happened to the toss sweep?
