Title: NC State @ FSU 9.28.2019
Post by: Hawkinole on September 28, 2019, 11:50:53 PM
Alex Hornibrook has now proven himself two consecutive games. This weekend he was sacked 8-times.

Hornibrook was 29-40, 316 YDS, 3 TD

His rushing: -40 yards.

FSU wins 31-13.

As many of you may recall, I thought Hornibrook should apply for a graduate assistant job as a coach rather than play, but he led the 'Noles two wins the past two weeks.

That is a solid win.  Can they do anything with Clemson?

It is a bit difficult to imagine FSU's porous offensive line can do much against Clemson to protect Hornibrook. Clemson averages 4 sacks per game. Hornibrook seems more elusive, although 8-sacks in a game may diminish my argument, than James Blackmon at QB who was injured last week.

Porous offensive line is a major problem FSU had in 2018. Hornibrook was so badly beat up with head injuries at Wisconsin last year, that I don't think he can hold up at FSU over the long haul with FSU's offensive line.
