This is a very strong position for the conference.
-
Bachie - because I like him and he's from near by Berea. You're right AC tough to pick against any of them
-
Great top group and lots of guys right behind these ones.
-
I hope Shaq Smith can get in this group by years end.

Fisher makes these guys' AA list at LB. The other two are from Bama and Clemson. I'm always a bit surprised at preseason ALL whatever lists based on what the players did last year, I guess. Something to muse about though.
Nice to see a NW player getting noticed though.

According to TSN he had 110 tackles?Didn't know that

Yeah, Athlon has Bachie 1st team AA, FIsher 2nd team AA, Bailey 3rd team AA.
Their unit rankings have Penn State (#3), Michigan State (#6), Northwestern (#9) and Michigan (#10) all ranked among the top 10 LB groups in the nation

I don't know what to make of such rankings other than that they are fun to discuss, I suppose. This is from Athlon, I'm a bit surprised Vandy would be at 15 and LSU at 18. I guess Vandy has returning players more than LSU, who probably has more talent at the position. How do you rank a team with experience versus a team with new raw high level talent? Early in the year, maybe the former is a bit better. Maybe. The Vols at 5? Maybe so.
Alabama leads the rankings at No. 1. Others from the SEC are Tennessee (5), Georgia (8), Florida (12), Vanderbilt (15), LSU (18) and Missouri (26).

I don't know if that listing is right but it doesn't feel wrong.
