Love the ESB but rumors at the time was definitely the yardstick .F Mac was good enough to escaped the "Pop" label IMO

I listened to Rumours over the weekend.  It really is an exceptional record.   I also  can't hide my total indifference towards Bruce.

every track on Rumors is solid, but I much prefer to listen to Bruce, even though he can't sing

Tusk is such a great song to taunt people with that hate FM.  The drum riff, horns and jungle sounds get in your head and doesn't leave.   Such a self indulgent mess of an album.   It worked perfectly in the opening scene  of The Americans.
