I saw something about this, I thought they were going to recirculate some of their classic front pages and maybe the inside would be current.  I have not seen on in ages.

I used to subscribe to 5-6-7 magazines, it's was sort of a treat to get one in the mail, mostly the car mags.  I'm down to zero now, it's mostly on line.

I glance at Scientific American at the library but don't read anything unless an article catches my eye.  A LONG time ago I got Sports Illustrated, some of you may recall that magazine if you're old enough.  There also was a newer version called something like "Espin" or somesuch, it was over sized and bulky.

I'm not all that interested in the personal life of some NBA player.

I used to watch Gameday pretty religiously, it was a kind of tradition, but quit that 7 or so years back when they expanded the time slot and got sillier.  I never learned anything from them anyway.  Mad magazine just made me angry.

I didn't know it still existed.  My parents used to buy me a couple every time we went on a road trip.  That was about it.

I remember getting it as a kid. I loved Spy v. Spy. I'm not sure I understood a lot of the references

My older brother had a subscription in the late 80s/early 90s, and collected quite a few over that time frame.

I used to binge read them about once every six months or so, and get caught up.

The one based on the first season of the Simpsons is the one that sticks out most in my mind today.

It would be fun to see it again.

That was the biggest issue to me.  When I was the target age of the humor, I didn't get the satire.  When I was old enough to appreciate the satire, the humor seemed below me.

The Simpsons, eh?
Dating myself, I remember the movie spoofs, like 201 Minutes of Space Idiocy, ca. 1969.

I didn't know it existed either. I've never read one, though. Honestly, I think I spent my childhood (1980/90s) thinking it was already extinct. The logo just seemed too 1950s to believe it was actively published then, let alone now. Reading the reviews from other posters, I'm not sure if I missed out; but maybe.

I remember that they used to hide funny little doodles in the margins, many of which were wildly inappropriate for their target audience; with naked ladies and what not.

Ha! I remember in the mid '70s they included a flexible  45 disc/record.It was a spoof on All in the Family. And Archie was expecting an visit from an old WWII Vet - it was Hitler.Of course meathead started right in on Archie - "do you know who this guy is?".We thought it was funny at the time

Forgot about those - they were pretty clever/witty
