Indiana is favored by 7 the last time I looked. Gus and Joel will host the game broadcast on Fox at Noon. News outlets have reported that Whittingham has named freshman Tommy Carr as the starting QB. Kind of surprised that they would announce that if true but the kid has earned it.

well would any M Fan find that shocking or offensive? I watched the highlights and when TC ran into that huddle EVERYONE was smiling and welcoming. He could be a diamond in the rough

LSU at Auburn will be on the main TV with volume. The little loudmouth gremlin will be on one of the smaller TVs with ZERO volume or not be shown at all so as to not give B1G Noon a ratings point. Maybe I'll show Rutgers at Northwestern instead.

Indiana 24, Michigan 16

Good idea. This game won't be a game.
MMichigan has no offense

I'm sticking to my theory, Michigan has a very high ceiling and a very low floor. You can't count them out of any game, even this one because they have enough talent that they could knock off Indiana. Conversely, they are such a mess on offense that there are no gimmies for them because they could lose to just about anybody.

Michigan has an excellent defense and they have a couple of studs at RB.
When Carr comes into the game that at least opens up the possibility of passing game and makes the running game go better.
Indiana also has an excellent defense. Their offense is also very good and they have two stud receivers
I see a very close game

Hoosiers by 20
-
Hoosiers by 20
In their games against Nebraska and Ohio State the Hoosiers have been held to 20 and 15 points respectively. I think that the defense they'll see on Saturday is on a level with those so I can't see them winning by 20 unless it is 23-3 or something like that.

perhaps you didn't see the 2nd half highlights vs penn st.Seems they found one QB and lost a headache all in one afternoon

I've been wrong before

That was back in1983 right?😂

yup, thought they were gonna convert the 2-pointer

IU will have Khobie Martin back at RB this week. While Turbo Richard has been very explosive this year, Martin was the one that was expected to be the home run hitter before injuring his forearm in the first quarter of the first game. Cignetti even said that he was effectively their number one back going into the season.
Of course, none of that matters if the O-line doesn’t run block better.

this is how I see them. they can lose to anyone but conversely they can beat anyone.
they have talent but are incredibly inconsistent with horrible penalties & turnovers constantly and shitty coaching. when things are clicking they can be pretty damn good, same time when things are falling apart at the seams and snowballing into a comedy of errors they can lose to anyone- even Western Michigan.
having said that, Indiana is going to freaking SMASH them. can definitely see Indiana being pissed off after blowing what should've been a win vs Ohio State and then taking it out on this Michigan team.

I see a tight one.
also- IU “ could have” beaten OSU. I definitely wouldn’t say “should have”.
the Hoosiers were playing catch-up most of the game because Ohio State shut down their running game. Both defenses were stellar.
But the last played the game – there’s a reason why the quarterback had to rush that throw and throw it too far to the left. because he was about to get slammed by the Ohio State linebacker who was being tackled from behind and held ridiculously

Correct, football is a 4qtr game, a screw up at Kick off affects the score no more/less than one on the final play. We can replay 4 full qtrs of highlights and point out quite a few "what ifs". But as they say in Golf, "they don't ask you how, they ask you how many"
But back to this game if Tommy Carr can ball out like that both running and passing IU could be starting another streak
-
Indiana's D line is going to turn Tommy inside out.
