(8) Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure (1989)
Bill and Ted’s slang, clothes, music obsession, optimism, and lovable stupidity make them unmistakably late-’80s teenagers. Even though the movie jumps through history, its attitude is pure 1989. The characters, dialogue, and “excellent” worldview gave the film lasting cult appeal and kept it recognizable long after release.
(9) The NeverEnding Story (1984)
The NeverEnding Story became a defining childhood fantasy for many who grew up in the decade. Falkor, Atreyu, the Childlike Empress, the theme song, and the practical creature effects remain deeply memorable. Its fantasy setting required a cultural-impact exception, but its imagery and emotional staying power made it too important to leave out.

I think Bill and Ted is more 80s but Neverending Story is a better movie.
