Maybe unleash a bunch of badgers into big cities to kill all the rodents carrying the disease(s)?
What say you?!?!
-
Nubbz thinks a badger is a rodent
-
I guess a capybara is, too. What kind of disease do they have?

Badgers kill rodents and other pests. Like 'Fro. :96:

One that let themselves go as they tend to do at Camp Randall :93:

On a plane.

Ladders and snakes. Ladders give, snakes take. Rich man, poor man. Beggarman, thief. Ain't gotta hope in hell. That's my belief. Finger's Freddy. Diamond Jim.

Woke up in the recliner (again) last night about 2 am, had been on the CBS feed to see the crazy ass storms that had parked a county over and dumped about 8" per Ryan Hall Y'all's non-stop live storm feed earlier.
Of course, nothing about that, but a piece on the Ebola terrorizing Africa, and that we should be scared, and we're all going to die.
They'll (try) to have us all in masks again any minute.
-
Ebola is more scary to me than a rodent virus
-
How about just quarantining monkeys and rats? Of course Congress & and Corporate won't like it but F them
-
And bats?
Anyway never happen. Lots of money in vaccines and treatments for scary new diseases that have been around for 40 years.
-
what would Austin be known for if not the largest bat colony?

I suppose, the even larger population of imported Californians.

Do people gather to watch them hang upside down from bridges downtown?
'cuz I would totally gather to watch Californians hang upside down from a bridge downtown.
-
Nah, you can't get to the downtown bridges anymore, the homeless encampments pretty much completely prevent access.
-
Please tell me you're joking.
-
just like California
-
Perhaps a slight exaggeration. :)

If only we could fly

It's really too lethal to ever spread out of control.
Can't very well infect everybody at the airport, cause you're in a bed with your organs putrifactioning.
Really not a very smart virus when it just kills the host.

that was a good movie
The musical is great too. The Venn diagram of people who like both, might just be me
-
Did not know there was a musical...

I meant Congress and Corporate being the monkeys and rats, which of course they are

I had a neighbor in Cincy who was one of the CDC's top experts in ebola. He'd have to fly our to Africa on a moments notice a few times a decade. He had some very interesting stories. He claimed it wasn't really dangerous for him and his staff, but was for the locals. except as noted above, it would burn itself out too quickly.
Something lethal with a long latency period while being contagious would do massive harm.
-
Lil' Dawg--or whatever her name here was--worked for the CDC out of Atlanta, and while I don't know what her focus was, I know her territory was a chunk of Africa. She had to fly there periodically and spend weeks there. She's in the DWF area now and I don't know if she still works for the CDC or not.
