In the fall of 1970, the BBC commissioned musician Johnny Pearson, a member of the BBC Symphony Orchestra, to write a big, bold instrumental for their stock music library. What he came up with, "Heavy Action," was selected 3 years later to be the theme for their program Superstars. ABC Sports president Roone Arledge would listen to the tune shortly thereafter and start using in the background of his Monday Night Football highlight packages. It's best known in the US in that way.
The final Monday Night Football game of the 2025-26 season takes place at Joe Robbie Stadium in Miami. The Indiana Hoosiers (yes, INDIANA HOOSIERS) will take on the Miami Hurricanes for their first national championship ever. A big question is how well their defense will play. In their first tow playoff games, they've played very well.
Q: How many yards of offense will the Miami Hurricanes generate vs. Indiana?
Deadline is Monday, January 19 at 6:30 PM CST. Good hunting.
