Title: Citrus Bowl: #13 Texas (9-3) vs. #18 Michigan (9-3)

At least the QBs will both likely play.  Curious to see what attendance is like.  Both teams probably have plenty of fans in Florida

Depends on opt-outs.  I expect Texas will have a bunch.  Coaches will use the practices to get next year's team going.

Nah Arch is coming back next year so he'll play, at least some of the game.  Wouldn't be surprised though, to see our younger QBs get some snaps too.

yup. a lot depends on who actually wants to play. bowl games outside of the playoffs are all just about getting the young guys ready and up to speed and used as a launching pad for the upcoming season.

of course. bowl prep is huge for young players trying to develop and get better. get an extra 15 practices in that they wouldn't otherwise if the team misses bowl. it's a big deal for young freshman players.

Water is warmer on the Gulf side, that far North. On the East side it's warmer but only around West Palm because of...

the Gulf stream being so close to land there.

Last time my family went to mouse-world we rented a big house for the week, and all the backyards in that neighborhood had big nets encasing them, to keep gators out, we were told.  It was kinda weird at first, but then I got used to it and it was a pleasant enough back-yard experience.  The pool and hot tub were nice, and I guess you don't want to come home after a long day of mousing and find a gator swimming in the pool with you.  It occurred to me that if they could get in the back yard, they could be in the front yards too, or on the streets, which are obviously open to any Florida mascots who are looking for dinner.  Never saw any, though.

Never saw nets around yards on the bayou back in LA.

I thought those were mosquito nets?  My sister had one in her backyard when she lived in Merritt Island, FL.

I can't imagine one of those nets would stop a gator if he were hungry.

That was quite a few years ago, so I'm not sure I remember the nets accurately enough, but in my mind it doesn't seem like the mesh was small enough to keep mosquitoes out.  As for Gators, that's what somebody said, but people are stupid and frequently wrong, so there's that.

I don't know about nets stopping Gators.  I've been around my fair share of the Louisiana variety and they never seemed very aggressive (thankfully).  I always thought they could easily overturn the small boats people go amongst them in with some thrashing, or possibly get in them (I'm talking about very small boats, basically slightly larger canoes).  But they never did.  They just kinda sit there grinning, encouraging you to get in the water with them, they're perfectly friendly, as if we're going to fall for that.  Gators are stupid, but they are Florida fans, after all.

I'm stumbled upon a few on land, and again, thankfully, they were not aggressive, or I probably wouldn't be here.  So if the nets were only for mosquitoes, I guess I could see them still keeping Gators out?  Dunno.  I'm no gator expert and certainly not an Orlando suburb expert.  You may well be right.

That's nice-looking.  Quite an upgrade and somewhat different than the set-up where we rented, from what I remember.  It was 18 years ago now, though.

My daughter in BR is in desperate need of some type of screened porch or gazebo.  The F'ing mosquitoes never die, and my bloodline must taste really F'ing good to the damn things.

HA, they leave her alone because my daughters and I are usually in the same location.

They must like the hereditary high lipid content.

I saw a video that tested mosquitoes' preferences for blood types, and it appears to be a real thing.  I kinda suspected something like that already tho, because the dang things tear me up horribly when I'm outside and they're around.  They completely ignore my wife, and other people I've been around over the years.

Love the sleeveless look.  The games where Biff was Michigan's stand in coach were actually some of the better ones on offense.  Being a very young team they need the practice.  No chance they buy out of the Citrus bowl.

See above.

He was interim for the game Sherrone was suspended.

The ST coach was just hired a week ago, so that ain't happening.
