The AAC game was fun. Not sure anyone cared about the MWC game. I guess Boise can play some MAC school at home in the Potato Bowl now.
I guess rooting for Duke and BYU to shake things up? Big Ten and SEC games are irrelevant
-
Trying to recall a 1 v 2 game that was this 'meaningless'. could make a case for UGA v UT (Tenn) a few years ago actually.
-
a Hoosier win would shake up a few Buckeye fans ;)
-
Bastage - anyway If the Hoosiers play like they did in Happy Valley this one's in the bag.If they play like they did vs the Hawks & Ducks it might just come down to the final possesion. They will spread things out alot more than M* did
-
Enjoyed the Mountain West game. Good Clash of styles and impressive to see Boise still getting a lot from smart defense and good power football.
-
CUSA game was dramatic too.
-
I caught the Mountain West game, and flipped over to the dramatic CUSA ending at the half.
-
No football for me today. At least not until the Big Ten CCG this evening. Invited to a seven hour 'networking event.' I don't think I'll miss not getting to watch the day games; none looked too exciting. Seems like we're watching Georgia Vs Alabama in Atlanta every year.
-
I hope the "networking" event has drinks & snacks

I'm not a religious man but I suddenly have a vision that Hell is real
-
Gosh with basketball there are four games I am frantically switching between. Making the girls watch football with me tonight. They can be on their tablets watching their old man yell at the tv and make a fool of himself.

14- zip Dawgs at the half over the Tide

I know the committee doesn't want to punish a team that would ordinarily be in the CFP but loses their CCG, but Alabama is down 21-0... Shouldn't a bad loss push them out?

The committee getting to work justifying putting Alabama in the playoffs

So what's the acceptable point differential?
-
So what's the acceptable point differential?
None we go by total losses :)
-
So what's the acceptable point differential?
Single digits. If they have two games this season where they got whacked, it's stupid to put them in.
-

a bad 3rd loss
-
So what's the acceptable point differential?
it's not 21
-
I don't see how they can ignore CCG results, when a team lays a turd the day before the bracket comes out.
-
the bammer QB has not had a good game
-
"You see, Alabama had a close 14 point loss to a team that went 2-6 in the ACC. But that's a tough league, have you seen who is in the ACC championship?"
-
A few years back they punished Florida State for "looking bad" in a CCG.

In a game they won!

Woof.

So what's the acceptable point differential?
We are about to find out, I suppose. (honestly, probably what it was will be enough to send them)
-
we all know Bama is in with 3-losses
I think the 3-loss team that deserves to be in is Texas

yes, it bothers me a bit to admit that

I just dislike vague statements and would love to know the break-even point.
Georgia is now 1-1 vs Alabama this year.
I don't really care if Bama gets into the CFP or not. I'm far more concerned with letting in garbage G5 teams with literally no shot.

I dunno... How shiny is the helmet?

Don't be a dishonest interlocutor.

I guess I would be too, if Florida was in the CFP. Red carpets are easy to walk on.
-
Don't be a dishonest interlocutor.
I mean neither team had a functional quarterback in the game

I'm just pro games mattering as opposed to letting the money people dictate who we get to see
-
serious Bama is in,the horns out???
and Joel Klatt is a cuck, just facking bad - getting the radio.

as for Bama's resume........
Georgia is a good win and a good loss
Oklahoma is a good loss
FSU is a bad loss
as for Texas..........
Ohio St & Georgia are good losses
Florida is a bad loss
A&M & OU are good wins
-
Right, it's not some tragedy if one is chosen over the other, their resumes are fairly even.
They both have a loss vs a sub-.500 team.
They both got blown out by Georgia.
Texas beat A&M, Bama beat Georgia.
They both beat Vandy.
As a person who doesn't care either way, Texas supporters are wanting that loss to OSU to do A LOT of heavy lifting for them. Also, Texas seems to be playing better late in the year than early in the year, which used to matter A LOT more, back in the day. WHEN you lost was even more important than WHO you lost to, back pre-BCS.
But we've been told that's no longer the case. The whole season resume is taken into account now, as it grows. I thought we were past those days of a "hot" 2-loss USC or Georgia or CU (2001) team getting support to be elevated come bowl season.
Ultimately, it doesn't matter which, if either gets in. They're not winning it. They're not elite. We're talking about teams hovering at or below 10th. They're not bonafide. They're no prize. So why the big hullabaloo??
-
because Bama is going to get in
-
...because they got to Atlanta.
3 losses in 13 games is better than 3 losses in 12, isn't it? Let me get a calculator.
If it was anyone besides Bama, would everyone be complaining so much?

Texas is out. The question is Miami, ND, or Bama. Two will make it. Miami and ND would be favored over Bama and have a better record and neither has lost by more than one score but we have to give charity to the SEC teams.

people are complaining because it would NOT be anyone besides Bama
well, as you say, it's just a matter of time before we crown a 3-loss champ
-
idk, if the helmets traded resumes, I doubt people would be clamoring for Bama to get in over Texas. The hate/jealousy is deep with the masses.
If the Horns made it to Atlanta to get their 3rd loss vs a top-5 team they already beat, people would be defending them to be in.
Because they weren't Bama, lol.

Duke's winning
-
The eyes of a nation converge on Charlotte, NC...:57:

If this game is for the Heisman, nobody's helping himself thus far.

Indiana has moved the ball better than I expected
-
Bama has to be in…they beat the SEC champion.

Skipped out early and ducked into the corner bar to watch the SEC CCG. So mich for that. Your true nature can only be denied for so long.
Watching B10 CCG now.

Buckeyes right side of the offensive line reverts to Division II play of the previous 11 weeks. Hoosiers hungry and have the momentum and playing loose - mark Cuban bought some dudes

Obviously holding is not a penalty any more
-
How do you miss that?
-
How
-
I have never seen this much of an ACC ccg before, that's usually because i'm attending the Big CCG.
-
should have went to Indy - could have worn RED and fit right in
entertaining game
-
Well congrats to the Hoosiers. They are no joke.
-
Congratulations Indiana

Literally every time I see Cignetti's face, all I can think of is, "I win, Google me."
So arrogant, so accurate. Lol.

great game
both teams are tops of the league
-
super fun ACC game as well.
-
Duke won too.
The basketball schools are taking over.
-
I’m throughly impressed with Indiana. I halfway expected them to get blown out, instead they held tough and won the game. Damn, Big 10 champions. Congrats!
-
WTF, Buckeyes?!?!
YOU HAD ONE JOB!!!

I loved it when he said it, and I love it more now.

Reminds me of Barry.

Man, some days, this sport is fun as hell.
Two really, really cool games to close things out last night.
-
If this game is for the Heisman, nobody's helping himself thus far.
I said it before and I'll say it again: it should go to Pavia.

I think if I'm wish casting I'd want the three seed and potentially a date with Ole Miss or Tulane. Would not want the four seed and probably Oregon
-
1. IU
2. UG
3. OSU
4. TT
-
could happen
SEC champ is strong & tOSU gonna get dinged for being shut out in the 2nd half (kicker is a liability)
