The Resident Genius contest is back for another year of half-hearted attempts at guessing things in a Big Ten football game.

For those of you unfamiliar with this occasional bout of lunacy, the premise is simple. There are many things that are measured in the course of a football game. I will ask you to guess one of them.

Closest alone gets a score of -5 points. The rest of the guesses will be ranked in descending order, with the score being your placing. Ties will be scored to the lowest rank involved. Ties for first place will get a score of 1.

Anyhow on to the question. "He's Back and I'm Blue" was a number 1 hit for the Desert Rose Band in the spring of 1987. Michigan is supposedly back, but if they don't win in South Bend next Saturday, they'll really be blue.

Q: How many passing yards will Michigan have?

Deadline is Saturday, September 1 at 7pm CDT. Good hunting.

With all the storms predicted,I mean nebraska and OHio got pelted.Thought it might keep passing back a tad but not even sure it rained in S.Bend during the game

I thought they would run for more of course. They had only 3 punts.
