Title: Tony V to Giants?

Seems this is leaking on a bad day with the game tonight. 

Can’t believe they would hire a college skipper to be head coach of a MLB program.  Jobs are not remotely similar like in football and basketball.

Dont think its been done in modern MLB.
Buster Posey is GM and have read Vitello and him are good friends

If he goes, I wish him well. 

He has represented UT and supported the other programs exceptionally well.

In his defense....he'll make millions more than at UT and if he fails, he would have no trouble finding a college gig in a couple of years.
In UT's defense, they made him the highest paid baseball coach in collge baseball and building him a multi-million dollar upgrade in the stadium. There's nothing UT could do to hold on to him.
