capping my own posting, just throwing out some names that I suspect should squarely be here.  Munoz,  Randy White, Archie,  Ozzie Newsome?  another set of guys that roll over into 80s, or back to 60s, like Tatum,  like Lott, Marcus Allen,  even Hugh Green, but he could've bailed on '80 and still been HOFer.  another ridiculous RB room which will be left off here.   Pruitt, Washington, Dorsett, White, Sims, Payton.

 Munoz
College only.  He was hurt 3 out of 4 years.
Let's go by what they actually did on the field.  Let's not just throw in a bunch of consensus guys.  Have some fun with it.

The 1970s were a running decade, but there are some good QBs: Jim Plunkett, though most of his playing time in college was in the 60s, Joe Theissman and Joe Montana for the Irish, Dan Fouts for Oregon, Jim McMahon for BYU, but I think the choice here--based on college output--should be...

1) Thanks for fixing that crazy formatting.
2) Hard to argue against Archie, but man--OAM was right--lots of high quality RBs sitting this one out. I'm not sure how we ended up with 100% more quarterbacks for the 90s, but whatever the reasoning feels like it could be applied to adding two more RBs here...and we'd still be leaving some beasts out.

Well an option QB was chosen for the 80s, and someone said it's a pity to waste such great WRs, so we made a passing QB position there.

We have an extra ball-carrying position here, with 2 RBs and a FB.  We COULD put Earl at FB and put someone fast and great at RB......

Nope, instead, he was the #1 running back, as designated by this all decade team.

I thought about James Lofton, but his NFL career and my bias for a Stanford guy is probably leading me astray.

This is the perfect mindset for such an exercise.

The fastest wishbone fullback in OU history, Kenny King was nicknamed ‘The Rocket’ by his head coach Barry Switzer.  In 1976 King led the Sooners in rushing with 791 yards at 5.6 yards per carry and four touchdowns. For his career, King rushed for 1,663 yards at 6.4 yards per carry and seven touchdowns.
