I know in the past I've asked for your school's _____ team of all-time several different ways, but this time, we're using the random-ass 6-year old yahoo fantasy roster idea.
It's pretty limited, so let's set a cut-off year at 1970.

So you get the above, including 1 'flex' skill position player and a certain year's defense.

Florida:
QB - Tim Tebow
RB - Emmitt Smith & Fred Taylor
WR - Carlos Alvarez & Jabar Gaffney
TE - Kyle Pitts
FLEX - Percy Harvin
K - Eddy Pineiro
DEF - 1997 (allowed 70 yds rushing per game, and <50% comp vs the pass)
-
QB - Zac Taylor
RB - Mike Rozier, Ahman Green
WR - Trey Palmer, Stanley Morgan
TE - Johnny Mitchell
FLEX - Johnny (the Jet) Rodgers
K - Alex Henery (multiple NCAA records)
DEF - 1984 (allowed 203 yards total offense/game - 78 yards rushing/game - 9.5 points/game)

You tell us, you're the one who keeps all the teams' players' stats. :)
I could pick my favorites, but there are potentially some better "stat" players at certain positions, that I'd only recall if I looked them all up.

QB - Russell Wilson
RB - Melvin Gordon
RB - Jonathan Taylor
WR - Lee Evans
WR - Jared Abbrederis
TE - Travis Beckum
FL - Montee Ball
K - Matt Davenport
D - 2017

This feels basically correct, though I might sub in Abbrederis for Chambers. It’s it’s about “fantasy,” I’d sub in Beckum for Kendricks, although the ladder was obviously much better actual tight end.

Good points. Let's make those changes.
-
QB - Connor Cook
RB - Lorenzo White
RB - Kenneth Walker III
WR - Charles Rogers
WR - Plexico Burress
TE - Chris Baker
FLEX - Javon Ringer
K - Paul Edinger
DEF - 2013
-
I don't know enough about how FF works to know who to pick. For example, Vince Young is an obvious choice as the best QB Texas has ever had, but Colt McCoy had better stats in several categories, so would he be the better pick for a fantasy team? I have no idea.
-
It's just for fun. A no-money fantasy league. Who'd you pick?

That's a really good team, maybe better than one would think.

Always the guy with more rushing yards and rushing TD's.
-
Montee Ball was a touchdown machine.

Fantasy cheat code lol

What's the scoring system?
Points per reception? 6 or 4 pts for a passing TD?
-
idk, i haven't played FF in 20 years. The default scoring is fine, right?

Sure. It just makes your team look much different.
Ex. -- Everyone would assume I'd pick Peyton Manning, but in fantasy -- it's going to be Josh Dobbs, or Hendon Hooker.
RB receptions matter, so Alvin Kamara over Jamal Lewis/Dylan Sampson types.
I'll just pick the best players, and not necessarily for fantasy numbers.

Yeah that's what I was getting at, too. But okay, I'll just pick my favorites.

Williams and Campbell would be scary.

Williams and Campbell would be scary.
Yeah that's who's in my backfield for sure, although Cedric Benson scored quite a few more TDs than Earl. But Earl was... Earl.
-
Tennessee:
QB - Peyton Manning
RB - Jamal Lewis & Dylan Sampson
WR - Carl Pickens & Peerless Price
TE - Jason Witten
FLEX - Cordarelle Patterson
K - Jeff Hall
DEF - 1998 -- 10.7 pts per game (4th), 249.8 yds per game (2nd), 4 yds per play (2nd), 2.2 yds per rush (2nd)
-
QB - Vince Young
RB - Earl Campbell
RB - Ricky Williams
WR - Roy Williams
WR - Xavier Worthy
TE - David Thomas
FLEX - Cedric Benson
K - Justin Tucker
DEF - 1979 (allowed only 8.1 ppg)
-
All of Texas' defenses in the late-70s to early 80s were SALTY.
-
It's crazy that both UT and OU had a great player named Roy Williams playing at the same time.
UF and UGA had something similar, both having a RB named Willie McClendon, but separated by 6-7 years.

Yeah, if only the offenses had been a little better... :03:
Last year's defense was pretty good too, statistically #3 in both scoring defense and total defense. Obviously more ypg and ppg allowed in 2024 than back in the 70s but the game isn't the same.

Yeah we called their guy "Evil Roy Williams" and ours was "Good Roy Williams." The Sooners reversed that of course.
-
Okay, I'll play, but know this is based on an archetype stuck in my head for whatever reason and not what would make for the best FF team and I have no idea about most of the stats compared to others I could pick.
QB - Jayden Daniels (yeah, I said it, come at me)
WR - Justin Jefferson, Josh Reed
RB - Kevin Faulk, Dalton Hilliard
TE - David LaFleur (don't really have "greats" there that I know of, but this is based on what could've been if the offense suited him)
Hybrid - I don't know of many standouts like that, but I'll say Joseph Addai
K - Cade York
DEF - 1958 (utterly different era, but damn)
-
Love that you have Josh Reed and one of the more recent famous WRs. Respect.
The "FLEX" doesn't have to be a hybrid guy, it can be any RB, WR, or TE you want. If your school is RB-rich, just pick the next-best RB.
-
USC
QB - Matt Leinart
RB - Reggie Bush, Charles White
WR - Lynn Swann, Dwayne Jarrett
TE - Charles Young
FLEX - Marcus Allen
K - Quin Rodriguez
DEF - 2008
-
QB - Russell Wilson
RB - Melvin Gordon
RB - Jonathan Taylor
WR - Lee Evans
WR - Jared Abbrederis
TE - Travis Beckum
FL - Montee Ball
K - Matt Davenport

Fixed.

Yeah Texas has had a couple of good WRs but is definitely not a powerhouse in that department. More good RBs over history. But my third WR would be Jordan Shipley.
If we were going with a true flex type player, a receiver/back/returner kind of player, then Eric Metcalf would be my guy.

Always the guy with more rushing yards and rushing TD's.
The passing TDs count double if you have the receiver too.
-
OSU:
QB - Can we go Fields > Stroud here, because of the rushing TDs?
RB - George, Elliott (No Griffin....thanks, Pete Johnson)
WR - Boston & Harrison Jr
TE - Dudley? Probably Hartsock
FLEX - Grffin? Dobbins? Byars? Jeremiah Smith?
K - Nugent!!!
DEF - idk, but 2024 was the #1 defense in the nation
