Feels like a very odd comparison.  But it is what it is.  I personally dislike Field Turf.  While it's an obvious upgrade from the old stuff, at least the old astroturf was bad enough that most schools tried to resist it.  How many Big Ten schools still play on real grass at this point?  MSU, PSU and Purdue?  Is that it?  It's a shame.

The SEC allowing non-whites to play.  Forever shifted the balance of power towards the conference once they began actually recruiting all of the best players to come from their region.  Also no coincidence that it ended the MSU dynasty from the mid-50s through the mid-60s heavily built off of recruiting blacks from the southeast that SEC schools refused to recruit.  I believe Kentucky was the first to do so, in 1967.  They just celebrated the 50th anniversary last season IIRC.  Maybe 2 years ago.

LOL, I clearly missed the beginning of these.  I thought we were voting for what changes we wanted to see.
