The inclusion of Chuck Muncie here brings to mind Bama's season opener in 1973. Along with Muncie, California had three other players probably worthy of inclusion in these numbers. Wesley Walker, Steve Bartkowski, and Vince Ferragamo. Bama probably had no players worthy of inclusion. Final score? 66-0 Bama!

Yes he was. In 1975 and 1976. In 1972 and 1973, he was at California. If anyone knew he transferred in 1974, it should be you.

came down to Lott vs Kearse for me...  I went with Kearse.   I just recall him taking over games in ways that were pretty special compared to his peers.

I almost voted Kearse, but I couldn't separate what he was in college from what he came in and did as a rookie on that Titans team that lost in the Super Bowl.  This might be the rare case where I punished a guy for his NFL performance, because I was worried that memory was swaying me too much in his favor.
