Some good'ns.

Juice.

yup

Johnny Lujack's teams won more national championships than the Juice had D-1 college seasons (3>2) -- and WWII service interrupted his college career. I'll admit that I like that he played for the Irish, but I also like some of the old guys getting their due.

Two questions:
1- how stacked were those ND teams?
2- did he beat Iowa Pre-flight?!?
-
1) Stacked, but any more than the '67 (MNC) and '68 (Coaches #2) USC teams? Probably not.
2) The '43 team did (#2 Iowa Pre-Flight), but lost to Great Lakes Navy (but beat #2 Michigan, #3 Army, #3 Navy, and #8 Northwestern). Of course you know that after the war, Iowa Pre-Flight went away, so the unbeaten '46 and '47 teams didn't play it.
