In my 17 years of stewardship of the Resident Genius contest, I don't think we've ever had a mascot. As of Saturday, that is changing. Everyone, meet Cedar.

He's named for the Red Cedar River, which a certain Big Ten institution is astride.

Michigan State University has changed their mascot a few times over the years. From the Aggies to the Staters to the Spartans, it's not the only time they've changed mascots. They host the best Indiana team in years on Saturday afternoon for the Old Brass Spittoon. It would do them well for QB Aiden Chiles to have a big game in order to hang around.

Q: How many PASSING yards will MSU QB Aiden Chiles have vs. Indiana?
