It's been a long day. I had to wake up at 3:30 this morning to drive two hours to pick up my dad so I could take him to a surgery another hour away. Then sit around for a few hours, then return him home, then come back home and get my kids to taekwondo belt testing. Brown belts Kiai! But finally home, and one beer deep, and a few slices of pizza in, and the weekend is starting to feel right again. Go Bucks.
Schedule

My brain thinks it's 12:23 PM right now and it's 4:23 PM. Gonna be a rough weekend getting through jet lag.
Gonna get a beer deep shortly though.

I'll admit i haven't watched Maryland... but when was last time NW beat ass like this on the road.
-
Northwestern with the Iowa method of gaining less than 300 yards and still winning in a blowout
-
Just getting in here so NU beat the Terps? Some where Wildcat is smiling 😎
-
I have no idea what is happening today. My wife mentioned something about the kids going somewhere and us having a date night. But clearly she didn't look at the football schedule when she planned that. I hope she knows OSU football will be the third wheel.

Lean into it.

No run today, no Badger watch party and no food or drink until the evening (that meal should be good). Ahhh tradition.

Power is on. Internet is up.

Power is on. Internet is up.
Power here. No internet or cable. 😩

Power here. No internet or cable. 😩
They just put in fiber here about 6 months ago, so there was nothing to repair on that. It's all underground but requires power at the head ends. Internet came on at the same time power came on.
Got to watch CFB last night!
Do you have rabbit ears or something else to catch network TV? Bucks are on NBC.
-
BTW, @Honestbuckeye (https://www.cfb51.com/index.php?action=profile;u=37) , much of Cape Coral is still out. Is your family still with you?

1. Finish putting the lanai/furniture in place.
2. Watch Badgers.
3. Post hurricane block party.
4. Go to bar to watch the Kollections play. HOME | The Kollectionsband (https://www.kollectionsband.com/)
5. More football.
6. Bed.

Those head ends should have generators and batteries
landline phone companies are required to provide (5) 9's of service
supposed to operate 99.999% of the time
That doesn't allow for lack of service during a power outage
-
Schedule:
1. laundry and wash the Vette
2. Watch Badgers & Hawkeyes.
3. 18 holes of golf w/bud heavy
4. Home to watch more football & dine on leftover broasted chicken.
6. Bed.

That would be nice but flooding and saltwater don't mix well with those things.

-clean up cords, generator
-put house back together
-clean debris from pool (3-hours)
-pray for cable and internet to return
-check CFB51 for game updates from crew of crazies that inhabit that forum

around here, they're not allowed to be placed in a flood plain
I almost lost one to a flood. Water came to within a foot of the floor.
the 500 gallon propane tank would have floated away and the generator would have been wet before the batteries and equipment
batteries and equipment a few feet above the floor mounted in racks

He is back!!
Cable just came up. CFB Saturday. ☺️☺️

I looked into a Generac in Cincy that ran off natural gas (since we had it). That was a pretty slick deal, not cheap.
I presume one needs to change the oil on these things on some schedule, etc. How much maintenance do they require? Does Generac provide that service?
-
I will change the oil next week. I need to get some 5W-30 synthetic.
Generac provides yearly maintenance services only.
-
They just replaced our Diesel generator with a new one, the old one was 35 years old and nobody had parts for it. It runs about once a week even if power is on, I presume scheduled, I should ask our guy how often the oil gets changed. It makes a fair bit of noise and it's right below us.
-
UGA hosts Miss State today as a 30+ point favorite, which is pretty unusual for a conference game other than with Vandy, who never beats anybody.
Next weeks opponent looks to be more competent.
-
Convinced the wife to order fancy food and eat in. She landed on a fancy Mediterranean place. Fine and all, but if we get that I want the cheap place with better hummus. Gonna have to thread this needle.

semi annual maintenance - yearly oil change
yes, we had weekly scheduled exercise, run for 15 minutes - not under load
tested under load semi annually
not much maintenance - don't run many hours
-
Monthly exercise for me.

I just finished creating 120 teams for an order. Still need to produce them.
Working on a 60 team order, because the guy keeps asking when it'll be done.
Missed out on 4 hours of planning out 2nd quarter Science and Social Studies when I took leave, so I have to do that.
That's the work that keeps a roof over my head, so it's the priority. Need to plan for the coming week, as well.
Laundry.
Oh, and watch Florida try to find some way to avoid getting embarrassed @ Rocky Top.
.
Need more hours in the day.
-
Can't they just keep Herbie off the danged TV instead of making us watch a fuzzy stream from his airplane
-
Iowa with an actual good looking drive that resulted in a touchdown
-
First Saturday since August 24 that I haven't been down at either campus or the State Fair for football. Hard to believe that there are only two more home games this season. Feels odd to not go down there this morning.
We're going to meet our puppy for the first time later today.
Watching Iowa Washington, and this is a classic grinder game.
-
Vette is shiny
Iowa's last possession, not so much
great PUNT!
-
If my math is correct, this is only the 5th possession of the game. Two Wash and the Iowa scoring drive were both over 7.5 minutes.
And as I wrote this, Iowa just picked up a fumble in the red zone.
-
Had a generator back in Ohio. Never even though about getting one out here. There aren't many changes for a major power outage out here. Haven't had an outage even localized in my 13 years here.

Rutgers was finally driving but wisky stopped them on 4th down at the 10.
-
classic Ferentz

3 plays zero yards - Kick
but, the lead!
-
Dead wrong in picking Rutgers to control this game Vs Wisconsin. Rather, the Badgers have impressively dominated out of the gates, on the road in what I expected to be a more difficult setting.
Good early signs for Longo, who opened the game on the same page as his QB; Locke was very in tune to start. The Badger's defense stifling Rutgers offense for only 120 yds. Wisconsin up 14-0 at the half, with the 2nd quarter gameplay evening out into a standoff.
If you're Rutgers, what a dud. You're at home, dropping how many passes on every possession(?), playing like you're still in bed in front of your fans who equally sound asleep. The Noon EST kickoff excuse is meant for the West Coast schools.
-
Badgers D in control, but the Badgers offense has left a lot of points on the field. Two-score game is easily within reach for Rutgers.
-
Two FGs that went over the top of the upright.
-
Should be 17-6 Badgers right now. Rutgers had one blocked and passed on another on. Badgers went wide right.
Feels pretty good right now though.
-
I feel like it should be 24-6. Little self-imposed things have cost the Badgers offense at least one TD.
-
What is up with Alabama?
-
lack of Saban
-
USCe just drove down the field, now leading at Bama and losing the TO battle. 19-14.
-
19-14 Gamecocks over Tide ending the 3rd

What is the rule on this?

Brian Anderson is a great pbp guy. Glad Costas was cast to the Yankees series to bloviate outside my ear.
-
Ooh, and Milroe InT
-
What is the rule on this?
Supposed to be whole ball inside to rule it good, but not reviewable
-
Generous Gamecocks
-
So if Alabama loses again this week to a non rank team, do they drop one or two spots?
-
Bama may save it first and goal.
-
Tide takes the lead 20-19

Glad Costas was cast to the Yankees series to bloviate outside my ear.

Oregon star defensive end Jordan Burch is reportedly questionable for the Ohio State game after he suffered a lower-body injury in practice on Thursday.
-
Damn Iowa
-
Got the dog out to Docent Brewing since we left him at boarding for so long. Gorgeous day here in San Juan Capistrano.
-
Big review for the Gamecocks
-
Strategy question: you score a TD to go up 7 with 2 min left in the game. The other team has no timeouts.
Don't you go for 2? You can put the game out of reach (2 scores). You have to try that, right?
In the unlikely event the other team does score a TD, they're very likely to tie it up with an XP.
Put the game out of reach with a 2-pt conversion.

Two point attempt incoming

Tessitore is so bad.
-
Carolina's RT #50 is the largest waste of space I've ever seen. How can you be 350 lbs and suck at getting in somebody's way so completely???
-
Well man, SC got the most entertaining onsides kick ever, then did nothing with it
-
Tessitore is so bad.
I lazy fly ball throw-turned-INT is "just awesome!!!"
Yeah. No.
-
SC qb 3 bad decisions on 3 plays
-
That's a bad way to lose unc.
-
847- did you give up on your team a bit early?😉
-
The refs wrongly gave PSU a first down, and James Franklin called timeout and demanded they reverse it and give him his timeout back, which they did
-
Squeeky wheel and all.Ewers missing some open targets early in The RRR,maybe the jitters but Manning may be warming up
-
If Bama goes south it would make the GOAT look goatier.
-
Sooner up 3-0
-
Guards eliminate the Tiges 7-3
-
Sooner up 3-0
Texas didn't have a first down in the 1st quarter.

The aborted flea flicker goes for a long gain for USC

Texas IMO got a call there

Absolutely yes, go for two. Going from 6 to 8 points with the two point play makes no difference, but going from 7 to 9 is a huge difference. It means the other team has to go the length of the field twice. Low risk, high reward.
The Gophers played a game vs Illinois one year, and this exact situation came up. There were many loud, passionate defenders of kicking the PAT.
-
Never seen the player who snaps the ball catch a touchdown pass before.
-
Texas or Ohio State will win the Natty this year imo. Preferably Texas.
-
Texas OL sooooo good. And Quinn is so in control. Dude has been in Sark’s system 3 years now and just knows it like the back of his hand. So much calm and control and command. Very impressive.

Oh, and everyone meet Cedar. Cedar, meet everyone.

Purdue trying to make it a game.

Hell yes!! Love it!

In this playoff format- it’s pretty wide open. It’s like the NFL- who gets hot at the right time.
and don’t overlook Oregon or Penn State or Georgia.
Lastly- don’t put Ohio State in the same category with Texas. They havnt proven much.
-
Oh, and everyone meet Cedar. Cedar, meet everyone.
Nice! When do you bring him home?
Mine had a good day out...

One of the inspirations for the name Cedar is my wife's undergrad alma matter, which just so happens to be astride the Red Cedar River.

SC's defense must really suck that play took 10 seconds to unfold and allar dumps off a floating duck with hang time - plenty of time to react - but NO.
-
Holy crap Boilers just score under a minute - yowzer - Bert just can't stand prosperity. Both teams have rumbled for over 1,000yds offense in this game. 43-40 Boilers
-
Bert had a 3 TD lead and Purdue with 23 4Q points. Now that's shyting the bed.Ninnies and trojans going to OT in LaLa Land. PITT has started 6-0 - first time since 1982,Narduzzi paying off
-
Yellow lab - golden retriever?
Golden retriever. I've already said goodbye to my stray socks and slippers for the next several years.
-
On the PSU Board "Only Lincoln Riley can out James Franklin, James Franklin"
WOW The BERTS somehow tied the game up and now in OT :85:
-
PITT has started 6-0 - first time since 1982,Narduzzi paying off
And the AD for scheduling.

Jesus, USC's band is as absurd at Tennessee's.
We scored! (plays the song)
We got a first down! (plays the song)
We got an unsolicited political text! (plays the song)
We threw a last-second INT! (plays the song)

Purdue Illinois and Penn State USC both in OT at the same time...

Granted Penn State late’s interception of Miller Moss will overshadow this - but anybody else catch just how abysmal Riley’s clock management was? Tied 30-30 with 1:20 left, SC controlling ball near midfield, and through two plays Riley allows the clock to tick all the way to :14. And gave SC almost no chance to finish a late scoring drive.
Watching football with at my brother’s. Here are his two Retriever’s, one of which is a runt they saved a few months ago:

Riley not calling timeout with 40 seconds left when you have three of them is fireable.

Riley really did out Franklin Franklin.

Yeah, but you lose hours that direction...
-
UGA has 459 yards passing. And not looking great.
-
That's a tough call because he still had it and nice job by Howard getting the boys to the line
-
Feel like it was clearly an INT, but good job by OSU getting the snap off quick.
-
Yep Buckeyes got away with one there. Think that was a pick.
-
Wow. That was a gift td because that was an INT.
-
No the reciever was on his back and had it as soon as the db touches him he's down
-
I don't think you could overtime that if you are following the rules, but Bucks fortunate the refs called it their way
-
Florida controlling things in the first 20 min vs the Vols. Lots of sacks so far.
-
Fortunate the snap was off - but incompletion at worst
-
Damn Harmon steals the ball there was daylight out wide
-
Refs did invent a false start there
-
No the reciever was on his back and had it as soon as the db touches him he's down
The replay showed the receiver clearly didn’t have possession. Ot even remotely close.
-
QB sneak fumble on 1st and goal at the 1. You gotta be shitting me.
-
Wow. Now blatant holding and pass interference and not called.
-
Henderson!
run the damn ball!
-
Heck of a nice couple runs there
-
How's that lineman that was down ?
-
How's that lineman that was down ?
Couldn't see if he was back out there. Though the backup right guard is solid
-
Florida is hilarious.
-
nice catch
-
Great call by Lanning
-
Better accuracy from the kicker there
-
Holden is a maroon. I do like the Ohio State DB was just like "what the fuck" instead of retaliating.
-
Hard to believe the WR got tossed for launching a loogie
-
Pretty wild,entertaining game really
-
Losing Simmons would be rough
-
Nice job by Howard,ya no shyt but Ducks are down guys to so have at it
-
Ballsy call
-
I like not feeling hopeless in short yardage
-
after the fact
-
great call,great route, great throw
-
Good: we're shutting out Tennessee (46 ppg)
Bad: we're allergic to the end zone ourselves
.
Miss State just scored on UGA again...
-
This was targeting on Dart? But Cal qb wasn't targeted last week?
-
Henderson had the first down but tried to bounce it
-
I'm not sure why Jim Knowles is making
2.5 2 million a season?His side of the ball isn't banged up
-
Nbc finally getting some value for their TV deal.
-
Good looking start to the half
-
entertaining
-
Knowles is stealing money from the program, and Day hasn't had a decent LB corp since he's been there. And Burke's draft stock took a dive
-
Florida looking decent after leaving points out there.
-
Congrats to Florida on the road for a tie. So far.
-
Is it me or was that about the 50th lead change in this game?
-
Congrats to Florida on the road for a tie. So far.
Tennessee is not a good team. Florida played just well enough to lose.
-
Blech
-
Jamal lord ending right there for Ohio st
-
Between losing a lot of time off that OPI and not going down too quickly.. yikes from the QB
-
Im very confused about clock rules. Feels like you should just play with 20 guys on the field if there are 10ish seconds left, get the stop, and give up 5 yards and all the time that runs off. Why dont they reset the clock back to the start of the play? Put your whole roster on the field and give uo the 5 yards and all the time
-
Oregon: from barely beating Idaho to beating OSU. Hmph.

The moment someone did that, they'd make a new rule. Since there is an existing 10-second runoff to prevent the offense from abusing the rules, they could just make a 10-second addition to prevent defenses from doing the same.
-
Lane kiffin will pull that
-
Entertaining game- as promised. 7 lead changes and a little bit of everything.
Oregon deserved the W.
I would bet on Texas against either of these teams on a neutral field.

Ole miss v lsu has lasted 4hrs and that’s before this OT

Saturday Night Magic in Tiger Stadium????? Or another Ole Miss defense??
-
Ole miss v lsu has lasted 4hrs and that’s before this OT
Yeah, I turned it back, expecting to catch the last few plays......5:43 left, lol.

Is BYU legit vs a big boy team?
-
We used to laugh in college about when they would just accept that overtime was part of the game, and stop explaining the rules. That was 20 years ago, and they still feel the need to do it. Granted maybe they just want that sweet Cheez-It money as a sponsor
-
Is BYU legit vs a big boy team?
Im not sure we have a true big boy team other than Texas. I think everyone else is vulnerable. So given that, I think theyd be a team I wouldnt want to see in a 7-10 game. Id mich rather play an Ole miss or LSU
-
"The Six Sacks of Jaxson Dart" sounds like a bad horror movie

gotta love 57 yr OT fgs

I think kicker improvement has had more impact on football than anything

Welp, still no substitute for playing defense

That, and the titanic decrease in INTs thrown (per pass attempt), due in large part to the spread, which is originally from Bill Walsh's west-coast offense.
Creating all these teams for Whoa Nellie has opened my eyes to the horrors of passing games all the way into the late 80s. Just godawful.
-
Is it me or was that about the 50th lead change in this game?
Needed one more

it's why passer rating is irrelevant. it vastly overrates completion percentage the way the passing game now works
-
I will gladly be told the overtime rules every game forever, if they stop referencing the last Rose Bowl win every time a crappy Big Ten team wins a road game at UCLA
-
Somehow this Gopher club is gutting things out.
Survived to the bye, then a tricky game vs Maryland.
Long day.
-

I don't think people realize how much yards per attempt matters. And TD%. But the lack of INTs is really driving up passer ratings, too. But yeah, I agree.
-
The refs robbed USC in OT. I can live with it.
-
847- did you give up on your team a bit early?😉
Seems like they are starting to get things figured out.
I'm still in "show me" mode.
-
You should read the Horn Boards the torches and Pitchforks were out until they got 3 TDs in 5 minutes
Ain't nobody harder on Texas, than our own fans.
Quinn had some rust to knock off, not surprising but it was frustrating as hell to watch him miss two wide open passes, one of which was likely a TD, and then throw that pick. But he got it together and the running game took over late.
Gonna be a hell of a game against Georgia in Austin next week.
-
Gonna be a hell of a game against Georgia in Austin next week.
UGA got burned repeatedly on long passes by a freshman QB yesterday. Guys were really open, and he over threw them a few times.
-
I've definitely been surprised by UGA's defense the past couple of games. I expect them to play much better in Austin.
-
I do have to wonder what will come of this-- I saw this live yesterday and couldn't believe my eyes:

I do have to wonder what will come of this-- I saw this live yesterday and couldn't believe my eyes:
:o That QB handled it well Kirby should have been slapped with 15yds and a 1st down maybe even shown the door for blindsiding & striking him. It wasn't like Smart didn't see him. Even the ref gave him a double take I guess he was "displeased" with the DC or who ever that was he was approaching
-
They showed the Kirby "push" in replay, and it didn't look like anything, to me, he was trying to get to a UGA player or coach and didn't see the QB, or so it looked.
I think he's used to pushing people out of his way in a game, they usually are other coaches or players. He thinks he's a safety.
Kirby Smart Doesn’t Remember Shoving Mississippi State QB In Fourth Quarter | OutKick (https://www.outkick.com/sports/kirby-smart-shoving-mississippi-state-michael-van-buren)
"I think I was going after Schumann," Kirby Smart said postgame (https://www.dawgnation.com/football/kirby-smart-mississippi-state-quarterback-explain-what-happened-fourth-quarter-shove/4MQEU3PGIZHXXDXO4UF3MX5EHU/). "I was trying to get Schumann's attention. We were trying to change personnel. I think it's the play they came over to our sideline. And I'm trying to get Schumann's attention. But, no, I don’t really remember it."
During the Mississippi State media availability, Michael Van Buren was just as confused.
"I'm not sure what that was. I was must trying to play my game. I didn’t really see it," Van Buren said postgame.
Either way, this was not a good look for the Georgia head coach, even if he was just caught-up in the moment during the game.
Officials did not see the play, and no flag was thrown. We will see if the SEC has anything to say.
-
from the X comment section - "Woody Hayes is like “whoa Kirby….”

Lost in everything else, Vandy beat Kentucky on the road, 20-13. UGA beat UK 13-12. Vandy is now 4-2, I think I undermisestinated them last week.
They face Ball State next week and then Texas Auburn USCe LSU Tenn. They probably will make a bowl game and have a decent shot at 7-5, and then lose their coach.

Upon further review - is Kirby out of eligibility? If not the Buckeye defense could use a hitter like him

I think you're a little quick to dismiss it. He didn't just lay hands on a student, he shoved him pretty hard. A kid from the OTHER team. That's a really big no-no. It's really irrelevant whether or not he remembers it or did it with intent to injure. In fact to me it's worse that he had so little regard for those around him that he d id such a thing mindlessly.
If this were a college prof he'd be immediately suspended and possibly fired.
-
Well, I don't think anything will come of it, I could be wrong. I think it was inadvertent, and motive matters. He could apologize. I don't think any punishment is forthcoming.
Had it been the other coach pushing our QB I would think the same thing.
The QB certainly took a lot more punishment by playing than with this push.

Yes, you've already dismissed it out of hand once, we all understand your position.
I agree probably nothing will come of it. I don't agree that it's not a big deal. Woody Hayes approves.

Well, classes aren't held on football fields, so...
Smart is obviously on the way to someone and pushed not knowing or caring who it was. You could say that aspect is bad or not okay, but I think it's clear he didn't do it because it's the opposing QB.
-
It's a "big deal" in what sense, exactly? Smart loses credibility with fans? OK, I guess, but if there is no official punishment, it's all sound and fury etc.
Either the league office or AD or U President does something or they don't. Anything else is just words.

As I already stated, this is irrelevant, and if anything it makes it all worse that he has so little regard for everyone around him.

Woody Hayes would really love you.

Speaking of, Ohio State loses on the road as close as is possible to #3 as #2. Should they really drop in the rankings? I know they will but ...
This is why I dislike rankings, one reason.

Maybe so, but how is this a "Big Deal" if nothing official happens?

Why do you keep asking this silly question? Plenty of problems that are a big deal go unaddressed by those with a vested interest in ignoring them. This hardly absolves the action itself.
-
OK, so it's a problem now? Maybe so. I am pretty sure in a week it'll be completely forgotten. So, I don't think it's a big deal, or a problem, or an anything at all.
-

Obviously you don't. Color me unsurprised. :57:

I'm just trying to understand what might make this a "big deal" or a problem. Obviously, an official reaction would make it so, anything else? Words.
A "big deal" to me is something that has some lasting impact, with repercussions, reactions, something fairly "big". Maybe this will have some of that.

Well CD for one he struck an opposing player - intentionally or not - that is strictly verboten in the rule book
as I left last page from the X comment section - "Woody Hayes is like “whoa Kirby….”

Speaking of which, did they ever show a replay including the game clock on the last slide? I don't think he got down in time, but that's the sort of thing that was worth a second look. Recall a similar situation was the play prior to the Kick Six.
-

This is how he thinks.
The Europeans discovering the Americas wasn't a big deal, if you ask him. Ignore the displacement and near genocide of an entire continent of people. It was just a nice discovery to find more land to settle and farm.
Capt. Oblivious
-
The leap from this to Europeans "discovering" the Americas is quite some leap. Nobody really discovered anything of course, maybe the original inhabitants could be said to have done so. I would opine the European, especially Spanish, actions in the "New World" had an enormous impact on history. Spain became the wealthiest empire in the world, for a time.
Oddly enough, all this happened just at the time the Moors (and Jews) were kicked out of the Iberian peninsula. A lot of the Jews ended up in Islamic lands (and what now is Italy). History does indeed not rhyme, but it's fascinating.
-
The leap from this to Europeans "discovering" the Americas is quite some leap.
The example is a leap, but again, here you are missing the point. The direct correlation is your thinking. We could use many different things as an example, some leaps, some not. But the example isn't as important as the problem of your thinking.
But I don't expect you to acknowledge that or change anything. You're 137 years old and set in your ways.
I agree with you in that Smart's act wasn't damning, but it was certainly something problematic. This all-or-nothing dipshit thinking has infected our society like a plague. Thanks for contributing to it.

Brady Hoke sent his obviously-concussed QB back out and wasn't fired for cause in the post-game presser.
Fran McCaffrey hasn't been fired despite sideline meltdowns that had me worried about him stroking out.
Juwan Howard threw punches in the handshake line and wasn't left on the tarmac on Madison.
Nothing is going to come of this.
-
If I wish to make a point, I usually just go right at it and avoid using some bizarre analogy that is way off point.
We'll see if anything comes of this, or if it's a one time mistake that results in .... nothing.
-
A pricey lawyer could argue it was the player's fault for getting in his way and Smart should sue, due to negative press from the incident.
That's one reason lawyers are evil.

I've known, and worked with, quite a few lawyers in my day, I wouldn't characterize any of them as evil. Some were not very competent.
I do think we have an overly litigious society, but I can't fix that.
-
We have different definitions of evil, then. Lawyers are paid well to argue either side of an argument, unconcerned with the truth.
That's bad enough on it's face, but to be compensated well for it is something I deem highly unethical. But I'm the problematic weirdo here.

Some lawyers are paid to do that, criminal defense lawyers of course, it's their job, and part of our justice system, an important part, that an accused he representation who advocates for his case. A lot of lawyers don't do this at all. The prepare wills, or patents, or do corporate law, or worry about regulations, etc.
I worked with a number of patent attorneys and still count as friends 2 or 3 of them.
The injury case lawyers broadly speaking rate lower in my own book of "evility". But they too can have a legitimate role.

How am I catching strays because Kirby shoved some kid?

Ask the luminary OAM just don't act like you're not 😁
-
Im very confused about clock rules. Feels like you should just play with 20 guys on the field if there are 10ish seconds left, get the stop, and give up 5 yards and all the time that runs off. Why dont they reset the clock back to the start of the play? Put your whole roster on the field and give uo the 5 yards and all the time

No. He did not get down in time. It was not a first down so the clock wouldn’t stop when he goes down, which was with one second left. Not nearly enough time to communicate a time out.
I cant blame him for the loss.
If you would have told any knowledgeable CFB or Buckeye fan that He would go into that hostile environment and:
go 28/35 for 80% completion, 326 yards, 2 TDs, no picks, no fumbles and run for a TD,
you would certainly predict a big win.
Not only that, but given a challenge to drive them late for a winning FG attemp, he would get them to the Oregon 28, 1st and 10, 42 seconds left, and 1 timeout- you would say great job, especially in that environment.

Lost in everything else, Vandy beat Kentucky on the road...
Also lost in everything…to make a point from our geography discussion last week:
...but specifically Michigan has a well-documented history (https://www.si.com/college/michigan/football/michigan-wolverines-west-coast-troubles-before-a-road-test-at-washington-huskies) of losing road trips out West.
@Mdot21 (https://www.cfb51.com/index.php?action=profile;u=1595) and others mentioned the same thing. First I want to point out that this is FAR from a "Michigan" thing. All of our teams have trouble with West Coast games and in this new era having four league members out there it will be interesting to see how that plays out.
…both Los Angeles schools lost at home to schools heralding from traditional Big Ten territory. Minnesota’s game Vs ULCA didn’t kickoff until what was around 10PM local time to Minneapolis.
Worth noting Ohio State lost @ Oregon and Washington was blown out @ Iowa in a game that kciked off at 9AM Seattle time.
-
It was actually a 8pm CDT start in Arroyo Seco. And the Gophers didnt need to be on the West Coast to pull off their usual slow start.

she was incredible back in her prime. then she went and married one of the ugliest human beings I think I've ever seen in Jay-Z and went to one too many Diddy parties with him.
I would say looks don't matter when you have a billion dollars....but she has a billion dollars of her own. So make that one make sense.
Anyways, Dua Lipa is a 10/10 right now.
-
Well yeah, she's in her 40s now.
And I have no idea who she married, nor do I care. I've heard the name Jay Z but wouldn't recognize a picture and I have no idea what he's famous for. It is inconsequential to me.

Once back in my blogging days, I had a post that my referrer logs highlighted multiple hits from "state.gov"... And then for about 18 months every time I flew my boarding pass had the "SSSS" on it for enhanced screening. Funny thing is that I usually got through FASTER than the ones who didn't have that lol.
That's ended, so I guess I'm off the lists. At least for the next few weeks if a certain someone doesn't get elected... If that's the case I might suddenly [be] disappear[ed]...
