Well that does it. Good night boys. It will be 17 straight wins for Wisconsin(https://i.imgur.com/3wBPvux.png)
Mississippi roast in the crock pot for dinner tonight...What is Mississippi Roast?
Wtf is Mississippi Roast? He has been around forever, but Wikipedia says he is only 67. He's got another ten years in the tank.
Btw, how old is Tim Brando? That dude was old when I was a kid!
Chuck roast with 1 packet onion soup mix, 1 tbsp ranch dressing seasoning mix, 1 stick butter, a bunch of pepperoncini, and S&P. Low 7-8 hours until tender, then shred.Mmmmm sticks of butter
Simple and delicious.
I don't know the origin of the name.

Well this game isn't very goodI'll be watching volleyball in 20 minutes
Mmmmm sticks of butterThat sounds awful.
Anyone ever baked sliders before? Saw a couple recipes of basically making the sliders and baking them in the oven. Never done that before, wanted to make sure it's legit. I'm sure it's fine, but my first instinct would be to cover them in foil and bake them, but maybe that makes them too soggy
Did you use broth, water, pepperoncini juice from the Jar?No need. It looks dry when you start but as you can see, the beef releases plenty of moisture on its own.

Also known as the pepper in the Olive Garden salad...
That sounds awful.https://www.orwhateveryoudo.com/2021/09/smoked-brisket-sliders.html
Got a link? I assume I'm missing something in the concept bc it doesn't sound like it makes any sense...

There are a few out there that are similar. I would probably skip the mayo and do brisket, carmelized onions, and cheese, with some butter brushed on top. It sounds good - just bring the whole pan of them over there, as long as they come out ok.
Well this game isn't very goodI enjoyed it.
Really Wisconsin? Going for 2?I'll look and see if anyone asked him about going for two.
Ok F*ck Wisconsin.
Some really bad calls against Purdue tonight. Would be easier to overlook them if Wisconsin wasn't such a low class program.
I'll look and see if anyone asked him about going for two.
Wisconsin is anything but a low-class program though.
Historically Wisconsin has always been a high class program. That confused me just as much as it confused you. I put some feelers out on the homer boards to see if anyone asked about it. I don't know why you'd do that in that situation, unless the kicker was hurt??
I should have elaborated, as Wisconsin just replaced the coaching staff. I was speaking more towards Fickell and his staff.
I'm not too familiar with Fickell, but it seemed low class to me to go for 2 there. I can't find a reason they would need it.
Also there was a lot of vodka involved.

Final product. With cauliflower mash and roasted carrots. How much flavor did the peppers add?
How much flavor did the peppers add?Quite a bit. Gives it a nice little tang of flavor, and a mild heat. Not enough to be "spicy", of course. It won't bother someone with a low tolerance for spice.
Quite a bit. Gives it a nice little tang of flavor, and a mild heat. Not enough to be "spicy", of course. It won't bother someone with a low tolerance for spice.I make a variation of it (there are hundreds/thousands).
We've been making this recipe for years... It's a go-to when the weather gets cooler and the kids are here.
The pork chop recipe is from Milk Street magazine. Really solid magazine if you're looking for recipes with a global flair.I'm not that serious of a foodie but based on Kimball's earlier efforts I'm sure it's solid. I stick to Cook's Country basics. Just had the sunnyside up Eggs w/toasted rye from the local bakery and crazy at it sounds a Kosher Dill on the side
From Rivals Badger site:obviously a douche move
After the game, Luke Fickell said he let the "book", or analytics, make that decision.
I make a variation of it (there are hundreds/thousands).Sounds delicious. I might have to give that a shot.
I sear the beef first. Then I let the beef cook with beef stock, the onion soup mix, oregano, black pepper, and red chili flakes.
At the end (30 minutes to go) I shred and add giardiniera.
Beef sammitch!!
brines and marinades are great for white meats.
one thing though that I tire of is my wife using this 'oil' heavy marinade for her chicken. the burn on it off the grill is acrid and is really hard to burn off that residue.

My wife had a question, and I don't really have an answer.I absolutely hate that dude. I find him annoying and terrible and playing games with him as Picture in Picture is dumb..
Why is Pat McAfee a thing?
She finds him thoroughly repulsive.

From Rivals Badger site:Need I remind you that the last time a Badger team went for two, they didn't convert one the rest of the season, including one that would have tied the Rose Bowl.
The most interesting decision was to go for the two-point conversion up 19 points after the final touchdown. And to do it with a second Philly Special. After the game, Luke Fickell said he let the "book", or analytics, make that decision.
I still don't like it. I get it to go up 21 - IF there were 10 minutes left. There were around 3 minutes left at that point.
Need I remind you that the last time a Badger team went for two, they didn't convert one the rest of the season, including one that would have tied the Rose Bowl.I remember Bert going for two against Punky. That was more of a Bert/Punky thing.
Anyone ever hear of a wireless over-the-air TV antenna?
I'd like to get something like that. Exposure to the channels is to the South, but my TV's are all on the North side of my house.
Prolly Tito's - Texans act like that alot
:57:
Do you have a smart TV or Firestick? That's what I saw when I was looking - Tablo. Any experience with it?
If so, I believe you can do it with Tablo.
You would need to connect the Tablo equipment to your wireless router. Then get the Tablo app on your smart TV or Firestick. You can watch from there.
Sounds like you would have to set up your wireless router in the South side of your home.
Haha. It was Banyan Reserve. A Florida vodka, which I think is excellent. But it may turn me into Florida Man every now and then!Have not heard of this. Available at Publix??
Plus we get Sean McDonough, what's not to like.He yelled "Trouble!" and I immediately thought of the UM-MSU punt
Dabo going to the retirement portal for players.Dang poor guy

Brian F's 121st ranked offense is competing this week for worst offenseIs Barta still AD or did I see somewhere that he moved on?
Ohio State's defense held Notre Dame in the single digits for almost 52 minutes, they aren't the problem.Line has not put pressure all day
Not sure why Notre Dame felt the need to pass at all but it helped.Come now. If you knew before the game bit, Notre Dame would be limited to 14 points, you would’ve almost certainly thought it was easy win
Waking up in the Central Texas town of Elgin. The G in Elgin pronounced as in Gun, not the drink Gin. Population up from 4k in the 90s to over 9k thanks to Austin’s encroaching sprawl.Other than the result, how was the game? Didn’t watch it on tv, but I heard we won the game but lost a QB.
Last night we attended a Homecoming high school football game – Elgin Wildcats Vs Pfugerville Connally Cougars. The Elgin defensive coordinator lurked the sideline wearing a Cowboy hat.
Happened to meet the High School’s athletic director while visiting Elgin’s museum earlier in the day. He was returning a yearbook from 1914 that he was copying historical photos from for Homecoming posters. He was dressed in the school colors, and Main Street is decked out in purple as well.
All in all a fitting day since Elgin, along with nearby Coupland TX is one of the two towns outside of Austin where the 1999 High School Football film Varsity Blues was filmed. Among other movies to include Walking Dead, Chainsaw Massacre, and Gilbert Grape.
It’s early, and we’ll need the sooner start to make the hour or so drive into @Gigem (https://www.cfb51.com/index.php?action=profile;u=1706)’s territory, to College Station for the 11AM Texas A&M kickoff Vs Auburn. This year my annual Auburn game will also count as my first Aggies game.

lol @ Ohio against the world.I love the passion! I knew what Lou Holtz said really bugged him.
Calm down, chief. You're like a top-2 program all-time. You're not a victim.
McCord looked good. Great win for the Buckeyes. He really did, but even more noticeable was the offensive line and pass protection.
Ryan Day needs to put down the cocaineI hope he never loses that fire.
Epic collapse by Minnesota. NW comes from 21 down to beat Minn in overtime.Wow.
Never had a doubt
Indiana living to see OT thanks to a missed chip shot FG is something I've seen beforehttps://twitter.com/PuntJohnPunt/status/1705794443071156390?t=PgpZLRp9XI_VfSH0Hk12cw&s=19
Epic collapse by Minnesota. NW comes from 21 down to beat Minn in overtime.I didn't see that score until just now. I occasionally turned over to BTN, only to see Minnesota dominating. I can't imagine what happened.
Holtz didn't say anything any ND fan wouldn't say. It's trumped-up BS bulletin board stuff. An invented slight. A nothing burger. He ate crow - good enough
Northwestern (2-2, 1-1 Big Ten) scored two touchdowns early in the fourth quarter to pull within seven. The Wildcats tied it in the closing seconds of regulation when Henning caught an 11-yard TD, and came away with their second win in three games after losing 12 in a row.Just noticed that as it was late one last nite so didn't see scores - or much else for that matter. So another white knuckler in the BIG.
Just noticed that as it was late one last nite so didn't see scores - or much else for that matter. So another white knuckler in the BIG.I didn't watch last night's game, but I'm looking at the stat sheet trying to figure out what's wrong and I'm getting more and more torqued off.
GR be cursing and swearing and cursing and swearing - As I was up until the final seconds
ND is a damn good team, was really impressed with Ohio State going in there and winning on the road, at night. McCord didn't play particularly great, and he really should've thrown the game losing INT on the final drive if not for that ND DB having butterfingers- but he never flinched and didn't turtle after dodging that bullet- and he made some clutch throws to put them in position to score the go ahead TD.Yeah- that was not an easy accomplishment. Tough team in a tough environment.
That final game in Nov is gonna be a battle.
Forgot to take a picture of the pork chops last night... But they were really effing good. You can make up for it by photographing that swineapple that you are going to be making this week.
