This is pretty much how I would rank them. I still think MSU is capable of more.
- Michigan: Defense looks the part. Still a little unsure what they are bringing offensively.
- Penn State: Got a road win, but didn't exactly set the world on fire.
- Ohio State: Played a team with a bad defense that refused to punt, score reflects it. Honestly all three teams have been sporadic offensively and pretty solid defensively.
- Iowa: The default team. You know they will play some defense.
- Maryland: I'm never going to trust this team but Taulia looks the part. They will bite somebody.
- Wisconsin: Maybe? Things getting dicey. They were outgained by Georgia Southern.
- Rutgers: 3-0 is 3-0.
- Minnesota: Offensively challenged.
- Indiana: Same
- Purdue: Defensively challenged
- Illinois: Just generally challenged
- Nebraska: Same
- Northwestern: Also applies
- Michigan State: Giving up 713 yards of offense gets you the Honorary Turd of the Week
This is pretty much how I would rank them. I still think MSU is capable of more.I'd about rank them the same as well. I think you can legitimately put any of the B1G East's Big 3 at #1. None have separated themselves as a cut above the others imo. Michigan lost any sole claim they had on that top spot with that shitshow of a performance JJ just put on. I'd have kept them as a clear #1 if he had played like he did first two games- efficient and within himself- not forcing throws or hero ball bullshit. But he obviously didn't do that.
SP+ rankingsis UGA, TX, or FSU #2?

is UGA, TX, or FSU #2?Top 10
Sorry to interrupt the B1G power rankings, but this post doesn't warrant its own thread.you're 100% correct. it's almost as if we didn't just have a game on the field to decide who was better between Tennessee and Florida....
The pollsters are dumb.
*I'll preface this with acknowledging that it doesn't actually matter. But it also shouldn't exist:
23 Tennessee
25 Florida
Now I'm obviously not actually upset about this, but it's stupidity in action. I'd even posit if this was the year-end poll, the voters would have "corrected" themselves. But since it's just September, they get to be lazy and stupid.
Both teams are 2-1. Both have 13-point losses on the road. Florida's was to Utah, ranked 11th, and thus, is a better loss.
One of Florida's wins is vs ranked Tennessee. UT's only wins are vs a train wreck UVA and Austin Peay.
They're ranked 2 spots apart, and Florida has the h2h. So I'm just taking the time to shine a spotlight on the voter's hypocrisy.
Yes, this ranking is basically based on the preseason poll, but why do they get to be so lazy?
Over and out.
A team can lose on the road and still be better than the team it lost to.Idk why people bought the hype on Milton....guy sucks. He got benched for Cade McNamara at Michigan and transferred to Tennessee where he was the starter only to get benched again for Hendon Hooker. He's....not good.
Especially at night.
That said, do I think TN is better than UF?
No. TN has no QB.
A team can lose on the road and still be better than the team it lost to.If I were running a computer ranking I wouldn't want one game to be more than 10% so what I'd do is:
Especially at night.
That said, do I think TN is better than UF?
No. TN has no QB.
ESPN's FPI Poll....we suck!I think you want this to be a shot at Michigan but the FPI is a calculation and I'm pretty sure that what is hurting Michigan here is that their SoS is abysmal.
Ohio State at #1. Michigan at #14.

3)tOSU find out Saturday where they move toWould you move them down if they lost?
Would you move them down if tOSU lost?Butt out Spock - If close then it depends on the other games but being the perceived chalk I'd definitely............
Remember that either #2 PSU or #4 Iowa WILL lose on Saturday as will either #1 M or #7 RU.
Your #6 Wisconsin is playing at 1-2 Purdue this weekend and already has a loss to a team (probably) not as good as ND and your #5 UMD is playing MSU in East Lansing so not much opportunity for either of them to impress.
Assuming that tOSU loses while Michigan, Penn State, Wisconsin, and Maryland all win I would think the logical next week ranking would be:No?
- M
- PSU
- tOSU
- Iowa (if it is a close loss and UMD doesn't look amazing)
- UMD
- UW
