1. Michigan - JJ seems to have taken that 2nd-year leap. NT Kenneth Grant...wow. New RT is BAD...*could* be an achilles heel.
2. Penn State - handled business. Drew Allar is a stud.
3. Ohio State - got the WRs and passing game going. McCord won the job, looks like all that talk about Devin Brown was just talk.
4. Iowa - defense is impressive. offense still not impressive. but they are better this year at QB with Cade.
5. Wisconsin - big let down on the road....WazzuSt has their number 2 years in a row for whatever reason
6. Maryland - here almost by default. defense is questionable but they have an offense, so?
7. Minnesota - 2-0 is 2-0, I guess.
8. Michigan State - 2-0. who else would you put in front of them? no one imo.
9. Purdue - impressive road win @ VaTech. Hudson Card is pretty good, Purdue has a QB.
10. Rutgers - they might actually be decent this year.
11. Illinois - yeah, they suck this year.
12. Nebraska - Jeff Sims is terrible. that offense is horrendous.
13. Indiana - meh
14. Northwestern - meh
-
1. Penn St - follows up a dominating victory over P5 WV with complete annihilation of FCS team
2. Ohio St - Already has 1 conference Win. Big non-conference game coming against ND in 2 weeks
3. Mich - No P5 or conference games yet to really measure against. Mich's weak non-conference schedule really sticks out among the playoff contenders.
EDIT
4. Iowa - Solid win over P5 school and in-state rival. Same old story. Iowa wins with defense.
5. MD - still looking for a real test. VA coming up but VA looks awful.
6. Rutgers - 2 solid wins over not so great teams
7. Wisc - Still not sure why Wisc was ranked. Team was mediocre last year and has a new coach with new system.
8. Minn - offense not looking so great. Defense looks good.
9. Neb - defense looks decent. QB needs to stop turning the ball over.
10. MSU - Mel Tucker may have found a run game. Too bad Mel Tucker no longer has his job.
11. Pur - Good bounce back win
12. Ind - good bounce back win.
13. NW - good bounce back win
14. ILL - Off to a bad start

1. Michigan: Definitely the most complete team.
2. Penn State: Not many answers from playing Delaware.
3. Ohio State: No real complaints, though they don't look completely inspired
4. Iowa: We know what they are, at least.
5. Maryland: I guess. They can score, though I'm never sold on them.
6. Wisconsin: Not an inspiring game, though they did outgain Wazzu at least.
7. Michigan State: Sure? No coach, no problem.
8. Illinois: No shame in losing to Kansas.
9. Minnesota: That Nebraska win not having much shine.
10. Purdue: Nice win on the road.
11. Indiana: Still not sold on their offense, but they have played well.
12. Rutgers: Wins are wins.
13. Nebraska: Not sure they can win with Sims at QB.
14. Northwestern: Won't go 0-12

- Penn State - Didn't really learn much from playing Delaware, but no reason to move them down yet.
- Michigan - Ditto
- Ohio State - Still working out the kinks in the offense. Defense gave up way to many plays but still look better than last year.
- Iowa - Same old Iowa, great defense scoring points to help out the offense. However, I feel like the offense is makes some progress.
- Wisconsin - Really disappointed that they were not able to impose their will on Wash St. It may take some time to get their version of the Air Raid offense working as they would like. The defense had trouble with a mobile QB. I think Fickell will get things working.
- Michigan State - Looked good against a team they should look good against. However, with the issues Mel Tucker is having, will that distract the team going forward? We will find out.
- Maryland - Had some issues getting things going but found their stride and pulled it out. They seem they have a decent team.
- Minnesota - Ran the ball down E. Mich throats. Can they do that against a P5 team.
- Rutgers - Handled Temple better than the experts believed they would.
- Indiana - It was only Indiana St, but they got their offense clicking.
- Purdue - I don't know what to think about this team right now. Offense has some potential.
- Illinois - Looking like they are competing for the bottom of the division.
- Nebraska - Didn't watch, but was not impressed with the highlights.
- Northwestern - They won Sat, but this is the same team that lost to Salukis.

On Ohio State- the offense still a bit clunky, although substantial improvements from the QB and Offensive Line in week 2 ( to be expected with all of the new faces). Also- trying 2 QBs- Brown actually got more snaps than McCord. I got the impression Day was satisfied with the explosiveness on offense with 35 on the board- he let Brown play. Also- only 9 possessions withe new clock rules and the opponent taking full advantage of it.
Not sure what you’re referring to on defense. Granted- only 2 games in but they are top 4 in total defense, and only giving up 3.4 yards per play. One TD. Like I said- only 2 games but at least they have played an away game and a conference game- which many of the teams have not.

I will be voting for sure, but I can't yet as I didn't see but a few minutes of game play over the weekend. Gotta watch what I can and read up.

i might bring myself to voting later
no sense over reacting to the first couple games anyway

Last week in parenthesis
- MICHIGAN (1) - still haven't seen one play of them live
- OHIO STATE (2) - maybe Indiana's offense isn't as bad as the Buckeye defense made them look
- PENN STATE (3) - if the top 3 play like they have been, I'll move PSU up to #1
- IOWA (5) - ideal situation for Hawkeye fans is to keep winning, while failing to score 24 points
- MARYLAND (6) - this is still just September Maryland until proven otherwise, but they've looked good
- WISCONSIN (4) - travelling out west is never fun, but the OL needs to play a lot better
- MINNESOTA (7) - sneaky fun road challenge at North Carolina this week
- MICHIGAN STATE (8) - they are either going to rally and win a close one, or lose by 30+
- RUTGERS (11) - undefeated, but not tested
- PURDUE (10) - very nice bounceback, with a chance to pick up a 2nd ACC win this week
- ILLINOIS (9) - clearly the defense has a long ways to go to get to where they were last year
- INDIANA (12) - didn't think they'd throw that much in a game all year
- NEBRASKA (13) - looking like Rhule really whiffed on his portal QB choice
- NORTHWESTERN (14) - ended an 18 game losing streak on American soil

Maybe I am just expecting to much, but I thought that the D-Line got pushed around a little in the first half. To many 8-10 yd runs by YS. They did get better as the game wore on, but I am still a little concerned that YS was able to run the ball the way they did early in the game.
