The university did not say what the violation was, but said Vitello "acknowledged his mistake and accepted full responsibility."

I’ve read the schools that asked the NCAA to check out the Maui Ahuna transfer are Kansas, Vandy, Arkansas and LSU.

The new Kansas coach was an assistant coach at LSU so those two make sense. Vandy and Arkansas go without saying.
