One of my favorites. I like all the in-state rivalries.
UGA/Ga. Tech--don't see much intrigue here
Iron Bowl--would be hilarious to see a lifeless Barn lead by Cadillac Williams knock off the Tide, but I think not
UF/FSU--Guess it depends on which Florida team shows up
USC/Clemson--was the UT game an aberration? If not, this might've just got more interesting
UT/Vandy--Vandy's on a little roll, UT's pulled a flat tire and lost their QB. Maybe interesting?
Egg Bowl--could be interesting. Both are dangerous enough when they're on point
Arkansas/Missouri--if that's the real Arkansas, woo pigs
LSU/A&M--will be mighty humiliating for the sec west champs to head to atlanta having lost to a hapless non-bowl team
UK/Lul'ville--maybe also interesting

No takers on this, huh?
Kelly wasn't lying when he said this is perhaps the most talented team they'll have seen this year. This is A&M's bowl. They're playing for pride. The crowd will be in force. A&M will play the game they should've been playing all year.
LSU has no star power to speak of. There's no offensive weapon to count on to spark the team. They've won the west already and I don't trust a team this young and this cobbled together with spare parts to have the right focus. A&M will punch them in the mouth and LSU won't want to be there. They're not nearly talented enough to survive if the Aggies bring attitude and they fail to.
Ags big.
The upside is UGA will laugh so hard they may not take us seriously the week after.

a&m is so bad i'm not sure even lsu can screw that one up. but give it your best shot!

I know what you’re doing. Sandbagging, mentally prepping so you won’t be let down or tempt the Evil Capricious Football Gods.
Just stop. A&M is just bad this year. We could only score 14 points against Appalachian State, who let UNC score 60 the week before. We lost 6 games in a row, the worst losing streak since the 70’s. We struggled to beat UMass, literally the worst team in CFB, at home.
We really haven’t had home field advantage since the 90’s. Which is a damn shame. Ordinarily this is where you would fire your coach, but some idiot locked him in for at least 3-5 more years at $10 MM per. And this is because your AD, our current AD tried to poach him again, so we upped the ante to keep him. And instead of A&M winning the West in year 5, it’s LSU with a brand new Yankee coach.
I predict A&M will play just well enough to make a game of it, until late in the 3rd quarter. LSU rushes for a bunch, defense can’t get off the field in the 4th quarter, and we lose 33-31. Which frankly would be a win, cuz we’re not getting blown out.
It’s really weird too, that if you look at all our games, most were one score games, except MSU, and we had a chance until late.

Go Gators! Napier is coaching his ass off so far, with top 2 WRs out and 21 points in the first 20 minutes. If the defense can just hang in there......

Welp, those halftimie adjustments didn't happen. I'm tired of Florida gettng spanked, battling back, and then losing in the end.

Holy cow, dude.

Dang. Pleased to be wrong. I didn’t watch the game because we were in the deer stand and then cleaning a nice 10 pt buck.
What happened to LSU ? Did they just play sloppy?

Achane

No doubt Achane is great, but LSU really didn’t play great.

Nobody ever listens to me.

It was exactly what I said.
Frankly, anyone who has watched football for any number of years and knows a few ins and outs of this program would've seen this coming a mile away. Every major signal was there. Still frustrating to watch it play out.
The only thing I seem to have gotten wrong was the crowd part. There were definitely some empty seats at Kyle Field and it didn't sound as loud as usual on TV.

If you'll notice, LSU has kind of a habit with this lately. Post-2019, we lost to Arkansas (??, iirc....I think it was them) who hadn't had an SEC win in two years. We did something else similar....don't remember the team or the stat, the point is "Oops, how embarrassing." Now A&M, of course.
Specifically for the reasons I mentioned earlier--most of which is what appeared to transpire--but also more generally in that you could ask yourself "Is it really embarrassing for a division winner to lose to a team with 1 conference win?" and check off one more reason to see this coming. It happened for more concrete reasons, of course, but we have some bad mojo going insomuch as if something would be embarrassing, it's gonna be us.
It's kind of our thing now.
I don't much like it.

Not from your perspective, I imagine, but that game was crazy fun to watch.
