2009 Florida (13-1)

• Loss to Alabama in SEC Championship Game ended 22 game win streak
• Lone win over ranked team was 13-3 over #4 LSU in Baton Rouge
• Beat #4 Cincinnati in Sugar Bowl
• Held 6 opponents to single digits
• All-Americans: CB Joe Haden (unanimous), TE Aaron Hernandez (consensus), OC Maurkice Pouncey (consensus), OG Mike Pouncey, LB Brandon Spikes

Per the in-year SP+ rating, Texas by 3. UF defense was lethal, and Texas offense was fire too.

I'm going with Texas here. Their loss was to a probably overrated Pirate TxTech team that the Sooners obliterated but they have a lot more quality wins than this particular Florida team.

I also went with the new comer to the SEC, Texas, but...

#4 LSU in Baton Rouge and #4 Cincinnati in Sugar Bowl are impressive

LSU finished #17 at 9-4 after a 2 point loss to Penn st in the bowl

Cincy finished #8

This was one of my favorite Texas teams of all time.  So much fun to watch, aside from about 12 disastrous minutes in the first quarter in Lubbock.

Agree with OAM that it would be a fun game to watch.  My pick here is obvious but there are plenty of good arguments either way.

Florida's loss is extremely excusable.  But they also didn't beat anyone.  Didn't beat a Power 5 team with fewer than 4 losses.  

S&P+ favors Texas by about 3 on a neutral field.  That's the tiebreaker for me.  But damn, this would be fun.

I just have no faith that Tebow would have any trouble with that Texas defense.
