That ‘12 A&M team was one of the greats. The loss to UF was because the first game of the season was either cancelled or delayed due to a storm. We had a new HC, new QB, and new system in a new conference. I believe that UF team won 11 games and played a BCS game. We may not have won the game but it could have been different had we played that tune up game
Missed field goals cost us the LSU game.
Wouldn’t it had been great if A&M had won the SECW in year one?

Feels like A&M by a little bit.
The Aggies had a great offense. Pretty good defense, depending on the metric used. Badgers had a great defense, pretty good offense.
A&M's offense was basically three great skill guys and a big supporting cast. Badgers offense was diverse, and the pass catchers of note put up worse stats than their level of skill.
Top-end star power seems the difference in my mind, but could've made a very fun game.

Ehh, that nw HC, new QB, and new system in a new conference didn't hinder A&M in the first half, lol.
That A&M-Florida game is Exhibit A of Muschamp's #1 quality as a HC/DC....halftime adjustments. Manziel was lights-out baller like he was the rest of the season in the first half. But look up the 2nd half stats, it's insane. The DEs stopped trying to sack him and simply contained him, forming a semi-circle and he couldn't beat us as a traditional drop-back QB. Let me look it up real fast....
A&M First half drives:
66 yds - FG
81 yds - TD
79 yds - TD
44 yds - end of half
270 yds, 17 pts
Second half:
8 yds - punt
-1 yd - punt
6 yds - punt
5 yds - punt
9 yds - fumble
22 yds - punt
49 yds, 0 pts

I pick A&M vs 17 Wisconsin, though.
Any team with Jonathan Taylor is going to be hard to beat, but I don't see anything else special about those Badgers that makes me think they'd hold Manziel in check. Hornibrook's INTs are a problem. I loved Cephus and Fumigali, though, those guys were legit.
.
*I don't know why anyone is surprised by his NFL success or why he was the 3rd RB drafted in his class. 4.39 speed at 225 lbs and the only RB to outperform Herschel Walker in a 3-year career. Duh. He's good. And he's actually being given a good workload, so credit to the Colts.

I think that Badger D shuts down Manziel.

Haha. Just saw that I'm the only UW vote here. UW's backers were really fast, and there were 4 of them. I think they would have contained.

UF lost to Laville in the Sugar Bowl, not the BCS CG, and UGA (who had a solid team that year also).

He said a BCS game. All of the major bowls were BCS games.

I didn’t remember how UF shut down Johnny and co in the 2nd half. I think my kids were showing animals for FFA and I listened on the radio. Still, I think if they had one game under their belt the outcome may have been different.

Oh, yeah, my bad, I get forgetful. Obviously was thinking CG.
