3 months away!

Windiana.

I know you don't dig Gophers but, I prefer Seniors to Sophomores
-
I really hope Penix can stay healthy this year.

A broken Penix leaves nobody satisfied

I voted Penix, but they were a bit up and down last year. I'm curious as to whether Mertz might look pretty good in a more stable year.
-
Mertz should look better with a full compliment of WR and TE at his disposal. Also could really help that PC has taken over as QB coach.

I feel like people are sleeping on just how good Tu'a's little brother was. I believe he has the highest QBR of any returning quarterback in the conference.
And I say that even with my noted (only by mcwterps) anti-maryland bias in these polls
-
he may be the best QB on the list, but not likely to win the award
because anti-maryland bias
-
I think Tanner comes back strong. he was missing a few key OL last year and then covid took a couple more. also losing the "need to" get Bateman the ball will help him spread the ball out to more people.

I mean, sort of. He was pretty good. But his QBR was barely a tick above Sean Clifford's on essentially half the attempts. Clifford isn't even on the list and PSU fans seem mostly over him.

Joking aside, I'm never fully sure how to vote for these preseason things. Are we purely speculating on who will be the best? Are we voting for who is the best returning player? Is it a mix of the two?
It would feel weird to me to cast a vote for CJ Stroud, yet if he had the best year of any quarterback in the conference, would anyone be surprised?

I'm speculating on who will be the post season all big ten #1
gotta have the stats and the wins

Then it's always the Ohio State quarterback. Not that there's anything wrong with that
-
I'm guessing that's why the freshman is listed as a choice here
-
It's just a composite of preseason mags. But yes
-
I can't vote Stroud because we don't know for sure if he will even be the guy. He's probably gonna be the starter, but McCord is good enough that he could be pulled quickly if he struggles on the first 2 drives against the Gophers. Then Kyle may just never give the job back.
I voted for Penix. The 2nd string pick will be much harder.
