Hoosier Daddy??
I was looking at who has the offense to potentially keep up, and although IU is pretty good on pts/game, their actual yardage is atrocious, so I think it's a statistical aberration. Likewise Maryland is up there in total offense, but for some reason not very good at scoring.
So I'm going Michigan. I'm guessing by that point playing spoiler is all they'll be playing for, and they have talent on both sides of the ball.
Also because Purdue wasn't an option, since we won't meet them until the CCG.

Can I write in the Steelers?

if Harbaugh has been fired before kickoff, I'll agree

Who has a true, vertical passing attack? Buckeyes are talented at corner but inexperienced- and they just lost Cam Brown for the season with Achilles.

Well MSU has shown they will try it.

Only way any of them beat OSU is if the entire starting offense of OSU has to sit on the bench because they all get COVID. Literally the only way.
-
How many times has Michigan been playing nothing but spoiler?
-
I was going to say Wisconsin in the B1GCG, but apparently that doesn't count as "irregular season". Therefore, I'll go with Michigan for a few reasons:
- Rivalry game.
- Likely that Michigan will be out of the running and simply playing spoiler so they can play loose with nothing to lose.
- Rivalry game.
- They have, by far, the most overall talent of the six teams left on tOSU's schedule. Talent matters. The others are at a significant talent disadvantage in nearly every match-up. Michigan is realistically going to be at a talent disadvantage too, but not to the same degree.
- Rivalry game.
- Strange as this would have sounded back when I was in school there is a possibility that Michigan could catch Ohio State looking ahead. If Ohio State has already clinched a B1GCG berth then they could be looking ahead to a major showdown with an undefeated and highly ranked B1G-W team (UW, NU, or PU).
- Did I mention it is a rivalry game?

Purdue in the B1G CG

One weakness this year for OSU is secondary depth. They lost three starters from last year. Then two guys got kicked off the team. So while Shaun Wade is strong, they are breaking in new guys everywhere else. They lost one for the season Saturday when Cam Brown tore his achilles, so they are now moving freshmen into the two deep, which is never a great sign. They are going to be vulnerable against a sound passing attack.

What will they do if they have to face Rondale Moore, David Bell, and Milton Wright in the CCG?

Struggle, I imagine. What's up with Rondale Moore? Is he going to play this year?

I don't know... Seems when he came back after opting out he wanted to prove that he was the best receiver in the nation. Nobody knows why he's been held out. People are speculating he won't play at all, but it's just speculation.
Hopefully whatever is stopping him is cleared up with the extra week off not playing Wisconsin, and he'll make his 2020 debut against Northwestern. His 2018 debut against Northwestern was pretty darned good--although he won't take them by surprise this time.

Both still pending. Covid shut down court for months and those cases typically take a while anyway.

Harbaugh sucks at getting Michigan to play their A game against good teams, but Michigan's A game is the only one who has a shot against anything other than an F game from OSU. 2015 MSU beat OSUs F game with a C game, and that was a playoff MSU team. Even if OSU craps the bed, I think anyone but UM still needs their A game. I thought PSU played pretty well Saturday night. That performance week in and week out gets them to 8-1. And the game was never in doubt

COVID could always impact things. Losing Fields for a game or three would make them look a lot different.

So the answer is COVID. We figured it out!

The Super Spreader has the best chance of derailing Ohio State.

They might die laughing but it will probably take 65-years. Ohio St will stand up to Purdue this year, any way.
