Yeah the defense and the OL were fine. But yikes, Michigan had single years in the 90s and 00s that I would take their QB-RB-WR collection over this group.

You have Patterson who was objectively good, but also disappointing. You have Jake Rudock who was not disappointing but lacked a high ceiling. I don't know how to feel about Gardner.
Plus, the dirty secret is most QBs aren't actually that good at throwing. Of QBs who threw more than 500 passes this decade in the conference, he's No. 9 of 33 qualifying QBs. He had a better passer rating than Connor Cook, Hornibook, Nate Stanley, C.J. Beathard. IF you expand it to 300 passes, he's 15th among players qualifying for our list (of 59). He's a hair behind McSorley and Patterson in rating.
