The SECCG was so novel in '92.  Plus we got a surprise ending when Bama stomped the Canes.

My problem with 1993 is that it felt like FSU was anointed the champ mid-season.  That ND team had no business beating the Noles and had no business losing to BC the following week.

And then Nebraska had it and gave it away, leaving FSU, confirming the bias for them all year.  Their offense really did change things, though.  Ward was great.

And I have to mention Arizona here - in '92 they played #1 Miami and #1 Washington and allowed 10 points combined.  That's nuts.

I mean, as corny as this is, 1993 gave us this

There was a gluttony of great games from 1993 directly and indirectly related to the MNC.  Not that 92 was bad at all.    Tough choice.   Going with 93.  The Big Ten season was really exciting.

going with 93 for multiple reasons

the best reason was that I was at that Orange Bowl and confirmed my thoughts that the Huskers were as good as anyone in the nation

17 & 1/2 point dogs my arse

one of the best Husker teams since the early 70's IMO
