So today one of the pop-up ads was for this book:  Link.

Note the title:
Common Core Literacy for ELA, History/Social Sutdies, and the Humanities

It is funny how Google's Ad server works.  Apparently it noted that "ELA" is mentioned on this page that I visit a lot so it popped up a book with "ELA" in the title.

My wife is a grade school ELA teacher, and whenever I see materials for her, I do a double take and think it's mine for a second.

helz no.... are you guys getting pop up ads? 

google is indeed tricky... they do things to your page once you allow them a script, and are careful not to let the owners see it... every device i've ever used and logged into google with knows, by MAC, and changes how i see things... 

if there are pop-up ads on this page, i'm going to not be very happy.

Sorry, not pop-up, just the ad that runs at the bottom, below where I am presently typing.  Right now I have four:
  • That Common Core book with ELA in the title.  
  • Another book titled "Ela (The Metaphysical foundations of Ifa Book 5)"
  • Barron's Core Focus:  Grade 9 Test Practice for Common . . .
  • NCAA Game Time Full Size Football

I think the Ela and Barron's things are there because I clicked on the Common Core book for my first post so now Google things Common Core is an interest of mine.
