Texas lost 16-5 yesterday.   And this program is on its way back or improved?   :smiley_confused1:

They won the series and are securely in 2nd place.  With Baylor on the road and Tech in Stillwater oSu should secure the regular season title.  I’s love to see Texas win out when it resumes but I imagine the Froggies will take one.
My expectations & projections for this Texas team are still right where I thought they’d be.  The only losses I really regret was the 2nd game in Manhatten and the 3rd game in Morgantown.

Texas Tech is really quite good. Winning that series was huge.

Updated regional projections:

It would be pretty funny for this Texas team to host a regional and have the Ags as the 2-seed.  How embarrassing for them. :)
(But also, quite dangerous for us )

Thank you, Baylor. A share of a regular season title is now within striking distance.  It would probable take a Tech sweep and Texas taking at least 2 of 3 from the Horny Toads or a Texas sweep and the Cowboys losing 2 of 3 to the Red Raiders.  Slim but possible.  Make for an interesting weekend to close out the season.
Course if the Horns had taken the KState & WVU series this could all be a whole lot easier.

Horns win 6-2 against Southwest Texas in a game that included a 2-hour lightning delay.

Alright, now let's sweep the toads and let the chips fall where they may.

Indeed. Now Texas just needs 3 of 4 wins in the last two games of the series between TCU at Texas and Texas Tech at Oklahoma State.

Playing out nicely. Now only two games matter.  We need one more Texas win over TCU or one more Oklahoma State loss to Texas Tech or both.

Nice.

I'd love both, that would get us the outright championship, right?  I'd be aight with that. :)

Horns won & the live stats for Tech-oSu has had the Red Raiders up 7-3  in the bottom of the 9th with 1 out for a half hour. Storm delay?  Any way, looking good.

You know... this is David Pierce's 5th conference championship as a head coach.  He missed last year and his first year at Tulane but won one in his second/final year there.  Won three straight at Sam Houston.  I like that.  Horns need to get back to winning conference championships.  First things first.
