Michigan already has a 5* DT committed in Chris Hinton out of Georgia and a 5* Safety committed in Dax Hill out of Oklahoma.

Very real chance at adding 5* DE Zach Harrison out of Ohio and 5* LB Quavaris Crouch out of North Carolina.

Harrison is down to Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State- and the recent chatter has been that it might just be Michigan in the drivers seat.

Crouch is down to Michigan and Clemson. Tennessee is still in it but just barely. He'd have most likely already been a Michigan commit if Ann Arbor wasn't so far away.

5* DE
5* DT
5* LB
5* S

They have a very legitimate shot at that haul. A kid from Georgia. A kid from Oklahoma. A kid from North Carolina. And a kid literally from Ohio State's backyard. If they pull that off- that's some Alabama shit right there.

Even crazier to think there are two 5* OL's in the state of Michigan this class and they won't get either one of them but they have a great shot at those 4 out of state kids. Already got two of them. And are favorites for the other two.

4* LB Josh Calvert from California says it's down to MSU or UCLA.
After his visit a couple weeks ago, and subsequent comments re: MSU and UCLA, it was thought an MSU commitment was imminent.  Instead a surprise visit to Washington this past weekend, and he committed.  USC didn't seem interested, and I think he was looking to stay on the west coast, but wasn't sure UCLA was going anywhere.  Washington jumped on him, and gave him a chance to stay west, and play for a good team.  Can't fault him.

PSU writer said he was a guy PSU thought they could slow play and still land as a Plan B, pushed hard recently, but didn't land.

Vancouver (Wash.) Union athlete Darien Chase will go from catching passes from Lincoln to catching passes in Lincoln.

The two-way prospect, who starts at receiver and defensive back for the Titans, will play receiver for Nebraska, announcing his commitment just a few hours ago.

Chase, the highest-rated uncommitted prospect in the Northwest, narrowed his choices down to Boise State and Nebraska, having visited both this fall.

He had early Pac-12 offers from Oregon, Oregon State, Washington and Utah

Lakeville (Minn.) North Top247 offensive tackle Bryce Benhart announced his decision to play at Nebraska on Sunday evening.

Scott Frost and the Huskers staff beat out Michigan and Wisconsin among others for the top target regardless of position on their recruiting board.

The 247Sports Top247 Player Rankings bills the 6-foot-8, 305-pound Benhart as the nation's No. 10 offensive tackle and No. 65 prospect overall. The No. 1 prospect in the state of Minnesota also had scholarships from the likes of the Gophers, Northwestern, Notre Dame and Tennessee.

With Benhart in the fold, this Nebraska class rises two spots to No. 22 in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Team Recruiting Rankings, good for No. 4 in the Big Ten.

MSU gets a commitment from an Aussie punter, Jack Bouwmeester.  He is on scholarship, which seems odd, they already had a commitment from a kid who was rated as a top 5 punter in the country by some of the kicking services.  Oh well.

2* CB Jaelin Leroy from FL also committed over the weekend.  Except no sites list him as having an offer...from anywhere.  He also claims a UMass offer, but that's not reported either.  This one seems fishy.

damn. Nebraska got two big commits in a week. Impressive recruiting job by Frost. If he winds up bringing Nebraska back to national prominence- this conference is going to over-take the SEC in my humble opinion.

Frost needs an O-line and D-line, but at least he recognizes this and will try to build them

Javin Wright, defensive back from Arizona and son of former Nebraska rover Toby Wright, commits to the Huskers.

The Hamilton High School standout made his first trip to Lincoln for the Colorado game as an official visitor. He is a legacy recruit, as his father Toby Wright was a Blackshirt in the '90s. That means Wright grew up learning about the Huskers and their traditions. He had a great time on his trip to Lincoln despite the loss that day.

On Oct. 20, Wright officially visited UCLA and enjoyed that trip as well. Prior to making a decision he said that both schools were neck-and-neck. Score one for Frost in a battle with his former boss, Chip Kelly.

This summer Wright really saw his recruitment take off and he went over the double-digit mark in offers. It will be interesting to see what happens with Wright once he gets to campus. He has tremendous size for a cornerback but his frame would probably allow for him to grow into a safety or even an outside linebacker. (6-foot-3, 190 pounds)

For now, the Huskers have added another key piece to their defensive backfield where they need to continue adding quality prospects like Wright. The defender is the 20th known commitment for the 2019 class and the second defensive back joining Georgia standout Quinton Newsome.

Milton wright's commit video is fantastically well done. Short, sweet, but low key with just enough flair.
