Saturday was the first competitive game UAT has played since FSU, so I actually watched the majority of it waiting on the UFC PPV.

I came away more impressed by TAMU and less impressed by UAT - even though I still think UAT is far-and-away the best in the conference right now.

On offense, they are virtually 3-yards and a cloud of dust, except that they have the ability to break one on every play. Shocked to see that Ridley (at the time I heard it) had 25 receiptions and the next closest was 8. On top of that, FSU lost another one. Best way to beat UAT is to contain Hurts and let him throw the ball and DON'T turn the ball over...of course that is easier said than done.

I will be surprised if an SEC team make it through the year undefeated or makes it past the semi-finals of the NC.

So, what.......everyone loves power rankings until I initiate them?  A little participation, please?

I think the task is not equal to the reward right now.  i.e:

1)  Alabama
2)  UGA
3)  Auburn
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
14)  Missouri

Trying to rank 4-13 is like trying to eat a soup sandwich, while juggling, in a raft with the air leaking out.

I agree completely, except I think TAMU might be an easy 4 right now...

If we're just talking about last week's performance, I guess so.  I still don't trust them not to lay an egg or two against somebody pitiful.

This is our worst team in years and I've still got A&M as a coin toss right now.

Okay, okay....
1)  Alabama              Duh
2)  Georgia               Duh
3)  Auburn                How the hell is Kevin Steele this good at Auburn?!?
4)  Texas A&M           I guess.  I don't trust this team
5)  Clanga                 this does not say anything good about the SEC
6)  LSU                     Literally here because I think the rest are that bad right now
7)  Florida                 see above
8)  South Carolina      can at least beat bad teams
9)  Kentucky              can likewise beat a bad team
10)  Tennessee           lose this weekend and I think the season is off the rails
11)  Vanderbilt           bad
12)  Arkansas            worse
13)  Ole Miss             worst
14)  Missouri              ugh

UK is 5-1, a record which normally puts them nearer the top of this rather amusing list.

They have four winnable games left, probably five really.  They could realistically finish 8-4 or better.  Now, of course, we all expect UK to blow late leads especially to UF.

I had thought A&M was a solid fourth before the Bama game and still don't.

I can make an argument for Auburn to be 2nd.  They may be a 2 point favorite over UGA, and have the defense to give UGA problems I think (and vice versa).

USCe of course is 4-2 which is respectable all things not being considered.  They have four almost winnable games remaining, and might finish 7-5.

Some teams are going to end up 8-4 or even 9-3 mostly because they play in the SEC.

I concur with OAM's poll for what it's worth, which is little.

Auburn vs. Georgia is shaping up to be quite a showdown if they keep going.

I like UGA a little more at the moment.  Both play good defense, I trust UGA's offense a little more to move and score some on a good defense.

Eventually they're both going to run in to Alabama, and they might kick a field goal.

Ugh.  This conference not only sucks, it's boring.

Georgia is going to struggle when/if it plays someone who can stop their run.  Easier said than done, but while that QB can manage the game for them, he's not going to be able to carry them.

Maybe UGA never has to go there.

That's probably true for the other top teams as well.

Once Auburn faces somebody who can put the brakes on Kerryon My Wayward Johnson, can Stidham shoulder the load?  I'm not sure.

Hurts still isn't scaring anybody as a passer.  He's not bad, but he's not good either, and he's clearly the exhaust port of the Alabama Death Star.  His most dangerous contributions are still as a runner.

Right, but when Hurts has to shoulder the load, he's had plenty of previous experiences to help draw from.  When UGA's kid has to (if?), it'll be the first time ever.
