Super lame that Eason is out for UGA @ ND.

Florida could score 100 points on Saturday, but it won't mean anything has improved on offense.

Fromm is a decent looking QB but obviously a true freshman.  The line changed from 3.5 to 6.5 on the injury.

I may be optimistic, but I think UGA will beat ND.  The UGA defense is looking pretty stout, as it should with ten players coming back and some really good freshmen already in the mix.  They had a couple guys held out against ASU so the young guys played a whole game already.

UGA also held out on OLman who should be back (tweaked ankle), so perhaps the OL will be half decent, though ND is different from ASU in the lines obviously.

I see something like 27-17.

Kentucky, Ole Miss, Alabama, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Texas A&M, LSU, Florida and Mississippi State have cupcakes this weekend.

The pressure is going to be on Arkansas, Auburn and Georgia to make statements for the SEC this weekend.
Clemson didn't look to have missed D. Watson much on Saturday, TCU vs. Arkansas always seems to be a good game and Georgia travels to pay a visit to a what looks to be an improved Touchdown Jesus team.  I could see the SEC going 1-2 in these games Saturday very easily.

South Carolina and Missouri square off in week 1 of SEC play.   This one could be a track meet.

0-3 would be a complete surprise.

Guess we'll see if Barn is worth the hype.

My guess is they get their ass kicked in two Death Valleys this year.

lots of cats in the top ten..

the top ranked cats will shred the barn, methinks.  nothing against Auburn, but Clemson just looks to be that explosive again... they almost seem like the $SU teams of the nineties- who also played with their food like a cat, and only struck fatal blows when it suited them.  Clemson is like that.  when they want to they strike, and it wasn't QB dependent as it turns out.  this may be a mighty imprudent comment, though, being early and competition lacking as it was.

I don't know what to think of Arky, yet... I only caught glimpses of their game this weekend.   the part that i witnessed showed players getting into their backfield causing their playcaller to hustle... what kind of florida team was that? it wasn't a gator a hurricane a bull or a native american of the sort that never ever surrendered to the feds... and unless arky was playin true freshmen at that point or prospects, that may worry me a bit.

i've got a notion oog-guh blows it this weekend.... in spectacular fashion... causing the pundits to declare the 'return of the irish' and awarding kelly COTY instantly. hell, they'll be #1 in all polls and computer models by Monday if what I think is going to happen happens...

so... go ooh-guh..  please, beat the irish badly- i won't be able to tolerate the chest thumpinig from 'only if the irish are ahead' fan base... unless they buy stuff from the store- then i'm all for it.  but they won't... they're irish afterall (me being one of that sort, albeit one with some decent taste when it comes to football, i happen to know).

an aside:  UT is going to be exhausted against those eighth graders... take the under and bank that UT doesn't cover.

UGA is a 6.5 point dog on the road with a QB making his first career start. Although he played pretty well on Saturday this is a way different environment. How do you blow it when you're the underdog already?

... not 'rep the SEC.  sorta like my boys have been doing the last few years.

all that aside, it's not UGA's O that should worry the Irish... it's their D.  you can't win if you can't score.  I wager UGA locks them down.  I mean, in all seriousness that is what i expect.

Don't get me wrong, Auburn was only playing Georgia Southern, which has no bearing on playing Clemson this weekend. However, Auburn allowed 78 yards at 1.39 ypp. Regardless of who you are playing among D1 schools, that is a pretty impressive outing.

Auburn had the 5th best D in SEC in 2016 and, against Clemson, allowed them their lowest output in points and yards all year. Granted, I think some of that was because they knew we had the worst game plan in D1 history last year, and we were not going to score anything other than field goals.

It took a bit, but the O starting clicking against GSU with Stidham working off some of the rust from not being in a real game in almost two years.

While Auburn will likely not win on the road, I believe it will be closer than you guys are thinking (or at least I hope so).

Looking forward to my first trip to Clemson this weekend. Hopefully, the game will be worth the time and money.

we shall see in the matter of a few days. Our guys are going to need to play disciplined, fundamentally sound football. Notre Dame has some decent backs that hit the hole fast. Winbush can beat you with his legs so when he runs UGA must keep him from extending drives.
After watching the Notre Dame game last night Temple's Dline was getting some penetration, they just missed alot of tackles. There were a few blatant holds on two different touchdowns Notre Dame scored, as well.  Hopefully those officials aren't calling this game.

I wouldn't be surprised if UGA wins by two scores, but i also wouldn't be surprised if they lose either.
