W Lacrosse

For those of you who have been sitting on the edge of your seat, waiting for me to post the results of tonight's Big Ten WLax Title Bout, fear not. For the moment that you have been anxiously awaiting has finally arrived.

Maryland defeats Northwestern 20-16.

The bad news is that you will have to wait until Saturday to find out who they will be hosting in their Big Ten Semifinal. But we know that the Wildcats will be hosting Penn State in the other Big Ten Semifinal.

Lacrosse

Week 5 of 5

Maryland defeats Hopkins in triple OT in the Big Ten Title bout 10-9.

Ohio State knocks off Rutgers 10-7.

Michigan beats Penn State for the first time in school history 10-9, which likely ends the Leo's season.

W Lacrosse

On the Women's side, Hopkins knocked off Rutgers in their de facto play in game for the 4 seed.

Attendance should be interesting as both Tourneys appear to be taking place @ Michigan, who failed to qualify for either Tourney.

Ohio State wins the Big Ten Regular Season Title.

...as well as the Big Ten Tournament.

IOWA CITY, Iowa - For the third consecutive season and 13th time total, the Ohio State Buckeyes end their Big Ten play with a tournament championship. As it has been the whole tournament, the doubles point proved to be the momentum shifter of the match. Down one doubles set, the Buckeyes gathered themselves, found a rhythm and earned a couple breaks on courts 1 and 2 to pull off the doubles comeback. From there, they quickly won singles on courts 1, 2 and 3 to claim the sweep.

Format for the softball tournament is dumb.  Baseball format makes a ton more sense.
