Minnesota vs. New Mexico State Game Week

Not technically Game Week, but I don't think we have a Minnesota offseason thread, and there is no point in starting one on August 20.

Fleck names Zack Annexstad his starting QB.

True freshman walk-on starting QB?  Yikes!  Or a great story?  Probably, yikes.

Apparently he transferred from a Minnesota HS to IMG, and did have offers from Illinois and Pitt.  Fleck convinced him to come walk on close to home.  So he's a pretty good freshman walk-on, but still.

A non-committable from Illinois. They took 3 QB's this year - all of them dual variety. One of those will be a safety, most likely. Not sure about his Pitt offer.

The Goophers should roll NMSU.

If they don't.. well, this could be Year Zero, 2.0.
