So you believe that you have been given the "It's not you, it's me" routine?

I just don't buy the "closer to family" thing. OSU is not close to his family in the grand scheme of what that is supposed to mean. If that was truly the case, go play at Maryland, right?

The kid got flipped - he changed his mind. It happens. It's OSU and Meyer is relentless. I get that. Just don't put BS excuses out there.

Yeah, when you dump the baton twirler for the head cheerleader, it's tough to let her down easy.

She generally sees right through the gentlemanly facade, but you sorta have to take the high road and say the right things anyway.

Yes, and on that note, my first post on the subject was harsh - to the kid. He's not gonna ride the pine at OSU. This kid is gonna be a great player. Jimmy Leonhard knows a thing or two about safeties. He'll be on the field.

That said, F you Urban Meyer.  :96:

Ed Zachery, things could be much worse.  When Urban is flipping your recruits, at least you are recruiting the right kids.  When he's not sniffing around, you're in trouble.

On the bright side, the baton twirler is still a pretty good catch for most of the guys in the school.

She is also a little tough to console when the same gal keeps steeling all of her boyfriends.

Well, like I said, I hope this kid works out with the flip.

I think he will, unlike the rest of them...

Maryland would be close to his Maryland home. That story doesn't pass the smell test - just be honest. He committed to UW, and then he got the OSU offer. OSU never gave up, just like with QB Chase Wolf last year, except Wolf didn't succumb.

End of story.

I get the feeling UW knew this was coming, and took the transfer from Houston (as a PWO) to backfill this opening. He will have 3 years after sitting out 2018. They will still be looking to add one more safety prospect this class, from what I gather.
Like I said, I didn’t think it would make you feel better.   And for the record, I never said I believed Shaw when I read those quotes.  ( he said it several times).
The important part of the message is HE said it, not anyone from Ohio State.
And I understand the “f you Urban”.  He operates in a world where every single recruit he has committed is being recruited away from him right up until they sign..that’s how you lose two 5 stars within a week of signing day.   Truly a case of don’t hate the player—hate the game.
Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.

UM adds 3* OT Karsen Barnhart from MI.  There was some oddness with his recruitment when he apparently tried to commit a week ago, but seems like that is all cleared up.  Really athletic, certainly enough to stick at tackle, but he looks more like a guard.  Will be interesting to see where he sticks.
