Vote - What is Tennessee's worst in-game stretch vs Florida?

The Vols have certainly had some recent heartbreaking losses to the Gators recently, but these were just embarrassing.  Which was the worst?

The worst IMHO would need to be a year in which the collapse eliminated serious ambitions of an NC or SEC title.

Losing that way with a mediocre team, or worse, is not a big deal to me.

two votes on '95 i don't understand.. it isn't unusual for a team to find and exploit a mis-match which is exactly what happened in that situation.  UT came back in that game after the half, and after Spurrier took to ground running the clock and controlling the tempo.  it was classic 'fun-n-gun".  Opening up the exploit allowed the D to falter on other threats as they were desperate to shut down the cross.  '96 was the same, but Spurrier made the adjustment instead of UT, and man oh man did he... it was ugly. 

last year is far and above the worst of the worst.  it was the worst as the desparity between athletes/rosters, especially and specifically on the lines, was glaring.  an exploit can be brushed off with adjustments and a loss can be mitigated by realizing 'you were simply had', which happens to everyone.  last year? this wasn't the case.  last year we saw instead exactly how far the program had to grow to compete again.  the season was conceded after that game by most UT fans.

It sounds like you have them flip-flopped in your mind.  
'95 was in Gville where Jay Graham fumbled twice to help the Florida explosion.
'96 was rainy in Kville where Manning threw for 492 yards trying to come back.

yup.. .flipped... concept still remains, though... on 'another day' those games 'could' have been different... if UT would have played UF later in the season instead of game two (UF's third) I've always wondered if the outcome would have been as consistent.  .... UF played more fundamental where UT's O required concert of movement/cohesiveness, and that game, traditionally, was before the 'gel' that usually didn't take place until week 4 or sometimes 5... back then they were a much more difficult team to play after that 'gel'... it should NOT have existed, but... it damn sure did.  watching them early was always painful.

that was a calamity- if it could go wrong, it did... Spurrier was exceedingly good at adjusting.  when those programs met back then, i would often watch the first two possessions after the half- and no matter what the score was, the 'assertive' of the two possessions and the one that scored was going to be the winner of the game.  it was accurate.

Spurrier to me is the best game day coach I've ever seen.  Some of that is because Richt was one of the most mediocre I've see.

I don't think he gets credit for that because folks today are so enamored with recruiting.

oh spurrier was a tactician, let there be little doubt.. 

one of the most entertaining games i've ever seen him coach was at USCjr and playing Auburn and the 'river boat gambler'.  Tubs and he traded blows- like a paintball firefight- subtle but obvious- one held the ball almost the entire first half, and... the other held the ball almost the entire second half.  watching that concert of game play was likely the best example of looking past players/talent on the field and actually seeing the driving and controlling forces behind/propelling a game i've ever witnessed at any level or organized sports. it was a thursday night game if i recall correctly, and i likely wouldn't have watched it based on score if there was another... because it was the only game on i did- and it is one of the best games (for reasons stated) i've ever witnessed.
