Title: facebook.... give us a like!!!!
Post by: Drew4UTk on September 11, 2017, 10:14:30 PM
we don't need usernames attributed to real names.. but i would appreciate the 'like' so the store can get a demographic sample for the advertising campaign about to touch off...

also, wanted to share this:

this facebook thing you guys are seeing is three fold.

one: copy and paste a fully qualified facebook address and it will render the facebook post in a thread... easiest way to do that is to hit the facebook post's 'embed' button, and copy the web address offered in the pop-up- paste it in a thread.

two: if folks can be coerced into 'liking' us on facebook, the store gets a sample of where to advertise- not necessarily to the person who 'liked' the page, or friends of people who like it, but outside that ring- the 'friends of friend's friends' if you can follow that, with an eye out for anything mentioned about college football specifically... it's target marketing, and i hope it pays not only for this joint, but where we want to take this joint.

three: the 'like' and 'share' in the first post share's the thread on the users facebook page.  i've been flapping my gums making ridiculous predictions (if y'all haven't noticed) not because i think i'm some sort of wizard, but because i've been sharing them on the facebook page set up for this site (college football area 51)- and then 'boosting' those posts to reach a market targeting college football fans, and for one reason: that is the kind of shit that people love to read... and though i suck at both predictions and writing, each of those threads has been viewed a LOT more than average, and even as much as busier 'resident' threads. so... it works... and i'll take the heat for being the goon in the meantime so long as it drives traffic.
