Title: Hall of Fame
Post by: CharleyHorse46 on September 27, 2017, 04:29:23 PM
Can you make a keeper thread to collect posts that are truly praiseworthy and can you put a little button in the post area next to the quote and modify and report buttons so we can just click it when we see one that's a keeper?

Brown County just posted a beaut in the Week 5 thread in the Big 12 forum.  I'd nominate it if I could.

i just secured something close to what you're asking for.. will require me to put my coding hat on, which means it'll have to wait until late night so if i break something i don't piss too many people off....

deal?

@CharleyHorse46 (https://www.cfb51.com/index.php?action=profile;u=21) - you get the 'Like' button instead... it works to record the intent, and if they hit several 'likes' I'll load them in the (pending) HoF...

sound good?

alright, new plan...

So i'm putting the store and the publisher on the same engine... i split them purposely so if one broke the other wouldn't.  they've both demonstrated that not only are they pretty tough stand alone, but they can handle the beating together too... this allows me to do something new.

the articles that scroll across the top are from the publisher (https://www.cfb51.com/pub) though they link directly to the source... the store+publisher combo will have the same mechanism and scroll articles just like is happening now... but... i can put a 'sticky' article in there, too, that will always be in the loop.... and that would be a good place for this 'hall of fame' post, no?  it will require a little fancy footwork on my part to get it and post it, but i can do it... i think... this would bring exposure to the poster/post that hasn't happened before.

thoughts?
