What the hell does it mean to re-offer someone?

I'm guessing it means that Frost is re-affirming some offers and that he might not be honoring all of the ones from Riley?

ELA:

I'd just like to congratulate you on coining the outstanding name for this thread.

One just doesn't get to encounter the word "jibberish" often enough these days.

Things that qualify as jibberish, yes.  Use of the word, no.

Badgers got #6 last night when Bryson Shaw committed to go to Madison.

Potomac, Md. (The Bullis School), recruit Bryson Shaw announced on Twitter that he verbally committed to Wisconsin.

Shaw is rated as a three-star recruit at safety by both 247Sports’ composite rankings and Rivals. According to 247Sports, he holds offers from Maryland, Duke, Rutgers, Virginia, Wake Forest, Syracuse and West Virginia. Rivals also shows offers from Northwestern, Pitt, North Carolina and Boston College.

Shaw is verbal commit No. 6 for Wisconsin in what is shaping up to be a highly intriguing class of 2019, joining the likes of Grantsburg, Wis., athlete Leo Chenal, Kansas quarterback Graham Mertz, offensive lineman Logan Brown, Menomonee Falls, Wis., running back Julius Davis and offensive lineman Joe Tippmann.

Definitely a "flip" candidate, with M and O trying to get him to make a visit, but for now, this kid is a Badger and plans an early enrollment.

Nolan Groulx has been waiting months to verbally commit to Wisconsin. Ever since his unofficial in June, Groulx has been eager to return to Madison to give head coach Paul Chryst his pledge.

On Saturday, he finally got the chance.

Becoming commitment No. 7 for the Badgers in their 2019 recruiting class, one of the nation's most prolific wide receivers opted to take his talents to UW.

The PSU offer will come, as will OSU and Michigan.

If UW can hang on to all the kids they've gotten thus far, it will be a record-breaking class as far as STARZ are concerned.

MSU offered 3* WR Jace Goins from Toledo, who was committed to ND for baseball.  He had football offers from Yale, Virginia and Minnesota.  Immediately after getting the MSU offer he announced he wasn't playing college baseball...but it also seems like some helmet programs have some interest.  My guess is as a full football recruit, he's going to start jumping up the rankings.  Apparently he's 6'2" and still growing.

2018 was a brutal recruiting year.

2019 off to a very good start. Michigan flips away 4* QB Cade McNamara of Nevada from Notre Dame. Crystal BALLZ for 4* DT Mazi Smith starting to flood in for Michigan, a commitment looks imminent right now.

Michigan sitting at 6 commits and it's still pretty early.

5* DL Chris Hinton of Georgia.
4* DL Stephon Herron Jr of Kentucky.
4* OL Nolan Rumler of Ohio.
4* QB Cade McNamara of Nevada
4* OL Trente Jones of Georgia
3* LB Charles Thomas of Florida

Stanford is coming after Herron Jr hard. Harbs has lost a couple to those nerds. Kinda hard to pass up that degree if you can get into Stanford imo. That one will be on flip watch til the bitter end imo.

They should do well. All comes down to how they perform in the games. Another underwhelming season and this early recruiting momentum is gonna crater.

btw 247 updated their rankings.

Two Michigan kids in the top 17 players overall in the nation according to them. Both play OL. Logan Brown at #12 and Devontae Dobbs at #17. Major positions of need for Michigan football. OL has been a disaster. And neither will be going to Michigan. That sucks. I don't buy into the rankings for OL's all that much, but I'd rather have two 5* in-state OL's go to Michigan than not, every single time.

Very pleased to have Logan Brown in the fold.

UW had 4 4* commits, but then the new ratings came out and they now have 2.

That's the stuff that happens to non-helmets.
