Big 12 Week 1 Recap

Oklahoma State 58-17 over Missouri State.  Taylor Cornelius is no Mason Rudolf but he still threw for 295 yards and 5 TDs.

Oklahoma 63-14 over FAU. 

TCU 55-7 over Southern.  Another new starting QB, Shawn Robinson, passed for 3 TDs & rushed for 2 more.

WVU 40-14 over Tennessee.  Will Grier proved he is the real deal as he passed for 429 yards and 5 TDs over the Vols.  One of the few returning QB's in the B12 put on a show.

Texas falls to Maryland 29-34.  I did't see this one coming.

Texas Tech falls to Ole Miss 47-27.  I picked Ole Miss in this one but the score was more lopsided that I would have thought.

Kansas loses to Nichols 23-26.  Sad.

KSU held on to beat South Dakota 27-24.

Baylor beat Abilene Christian 55-27, matching their win total from last year.

ISU - SDSU Cancelled.

Total 6-3 in week one.  What was up with all the lightning Saturday?

Wait. Why was ISU-SDSU canceled?   I hadn’t heard that. I only follow the news of Big 12 teams like Texas, OU, oSu, Baylor, TCU, Tech, Kansas, KState and wvu.

I don’t even know what conference those other two schools play in.  I do know Texas seems to schedule noncons with ISU an awful lot.   

Probably part of the Chizik deal or something.

It rained in Austin.  It was September and not August so that makes sense.

I dunno.  It would have been nice not to have to have flown solo as the only Sooner in this Horns nest of a www site all fall.

Lately I can empathize with LBM on that solo business.  And with FF going solo on permanent Husker memory duty hereabouts

I wonder if Chewbacca ever pined for another Wookiee on the Millennium Falcon.  

I ask because he seemed to be as gracious with Hans, Luke, Obi and Princess as Fred is with erin, Junior, 320, Doppel, BC and me.

Omg, I can’t stop laughing over that one Primo.  You just called me a wookiee, a big hairy loveable and loyal alien! and in such a genuinely nice way that I can only thank you!  Brilliant!  You truly are a genius.  I mean that sincerely.
