OSU went 3-0 in its own Tournament, collecting wins against Albany, Ohio U and Texas A&M.

MSU opening with a 3-1 loss at Tennessee does not inspire confidence.  They rebounded to beat Chattanooga and Belmont, but I imagine they'll be dropping out of the polls next week.

Sounds like it's time to go all in on Pitt. :great:

Horns went 2-0 up in Lincoln, beating Oregon and Florida.  Sure woulda been fun to test the team's mettle against the Huskers, in Lincoln no less.

UNL looked lost at times this past weekend.   Last year, the teams started in a similar fashion.   Cook will play around with rotations, and the freshman will settle into their roles.   I don't believe UNL is the #2 team in the country, but they'll make noise in the BIG.

You don't go from one of the best setters in husker history to a freshman without some bumps.

I have to imagine Volleyball is miles off the radar outside of Happy Valley in Pennsylvania.   A testament to Russ Rose's genius.  The 'east coast' and I know Pittsburgh isn't viewed as 'east coast'  is pretty much a wasteland for the game.  For whatever reason, the fertile ground of HS and Club talent in OH, IN, KY, pretty much stops to the east.
Yeah, it's like lacrosse in reverse: away from the East, most people have barely heard of it, it seems.

Likewise, around here we hardly knew that college volleyball existed...

Hames?  She played well.  There will need to be a solid month of matches before you see any chemistry w the OHs .  Lexi returning will be nice.

what about big time transfer Lexi Sun?

Is she sitting out a year due to transfer rules?  Injured?  or just can't crack the lineup?

Lexi Sun has a back injury, Cook plans to keep her out of matches for awhile.  They need another pin, and hopefully Sun is that pin.  This will be a fun season to follow, to watch all these newcomers.   Nov/Dec Nebraska will look much different.   Preseason rankings have as much to do with being a vball 'helmet' than anything else.

that's why I was asking.  Foecke really struggled vs Florida.  Could have used another swinging arm.

I guess that is good news.  Expecting her in the lineup soon.
