Valentinos is trash.

Used to love Amigos...but I am not sure I was ever sober when I ate there in college.

Val's used to be good, but now it is trash.  Amigos has gone down hill too.  Taco John's is superior.   Runza is the bomb.

..but nothing beats whitecastle at 4am.   =)

It appears a punter will be transferring from MSU to Nebraska.

ELA... can you tell us anything about William Przystup?

Nebraska football will be looking for a new defensive line coach.

Defensive line coach Mike Dawson has taken an outside linebacker coaching position with the New York Giants. The NFL franchise announced the hire on Monday morning.

“Coach Dawson informed me late last week he had chosen to accept a coaching position with the New York Giants,” Nebraska head coach Scott Frost said in a statement on Monday. “Mike has been a key part of our staff the past three seasons at Nebraska and UCF. He is a man of great character, an outstanding teacher, relates well to players and is a tremendous asset for any coaching staff.

Przystup, who was a walk-on punter at Michigan State, saw action in four games last season as the Spartans were hit by a number of injuries at the position. Przystup punted 27 times for an average of 40.59 yards with nine of those kicks being downed inside the opponent’s 20-yard-line. Because he only played in four games, Przystup was able to use his redshirt season.

Przystup was the Spartans primary punter over the final four games of the season, and started at punter in Michigan State's loss to Nebraska in November. In that game, Przystup punted seven times for an average of 42 yards and put one punt inside Nebraska's 20-yard line. The Florida native found himself in a numbers crunch heading into the offseason. The Spartans return starter Jake Hartbarger, who suffered a season-ending injury in Game 2. They'll also have on the roster Tyler Hunt, who is listed as a placekicker, but filled in as the punter after Hartbarger went down, and Bryce Baringer, who joined the program midseason once MSU needed more depth.

Przystup will have to sit out the 2019 season as a transfer, and will have three seasons of eligibility remaining beginning in the 2020 season. He enters the program at an interesting time for Nebraska's special teams units. Przystup gives the Huskers five punters on their roster heading into next season, and will join a group that includes senior punters Caleb Lightbourn, Isaac Armstrong and Jackson Walker. As it stands now, Przystup will be battling with 2019 walk-on Grant Detlefsen for the starting punting job in 2020.

MSU also added a punter from Australia.  I thought the kid acquitted himself well as the #5 punter.

Frost and Huskers AD Bill Moos told The Post they’re working on trying to set up a permanent rotation with their old Big Eight football rivals.

“I’d love to see us, if we’re going to play one Power 5 non-conference (game), to have it be one of the old Big Eight rivals,” the Huskers football coach told The Denver Post. “It’s great playing teams like Colorado.”

Frost’s boss, athletic director Bill Moos, doubled down on the sentiment. The Buffaloes host Nebraska on Sept. 7 to complete the second part of a four-part home-and-home series that picks back up again in 2023 (Boulder) and 2024 (Lincoln). The Big Red’s coach and athletic director say they’ve talked extensively about keeping CU on a rotation that would include series, ideally, with former Big Eight rivals such as Oklahoma, whom the Huskers meet in 2021, 2022, 2029 and 2030; as well as with Kansas State, Kansas, Missouri and Iowa State.

“What Scott and I would really like to do, for our home-and-home series — we’d have to go out a ways or drop some games — is play our rivals from the Big Eight days,” Moos explained. “Then we’ve got a presence in three conferences: the SEC (Missouri), the Pac-12 (Colorado), and the Big 12. So that’s all good, and those rivalries are strong with us.

“Well, obviously, I’m not the one that sets the schedule,” Frost said of the Buffs, who began play in the Pac-12 in 2011, the same season Nebraska flipped to the Big Ten. “But rather than traveling all over the country, there’s a lot of fans that still remember those Big Eight games. And we have Colorado on the schedule and Oklahoma on the schedule. But we’d love to have that be our marquee (non-conference) matchup every year, with Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Colorado, (a rivalry) game that both sets of fans could travel to and maybe reminisce a little bit.”

If they believe what the fans want actually carries $$$$ with it, they'll listen.
