I see a Turkey on the Horizon SOC 11/17/18

Had our first snow this week, a pleasant mix of freezing rain that turned into rain that turned into snow.  But that's gone and will hopefully be dry and reasonably not cold today.  I'm on driver duty - my daughter is supposed to go to a bat mitzvah.  What does one bring to a bat mitzvah?  How long do they last?  These are things I probably should have thought about before this morning.

Ironic, you put Turkey in the thread title.

I thought you might call this chickenshit Saturday, like they did on ESPNU radio, in honor of those conferences that scheduled cupcakes today.

Finally, cool weather here in Florida.  Feels great. I was in Michigan visiting family last week and it felt so nice. I can only take the heat and humidity so long.

Same-same,those infernal regions seem ablaze sometimes - for long stretches too.Much rather throw another layer on and stick to removing snow, raking leaves and the occasional Blizzard

It really is the worst.  It's like having a preseason game in the middle of the playoffs

5 am here. Within an hour, we should be in the car. Hopefully before 2 pm, we'll be drinking wine in the Dry Creek Valley region of Sonoma.

Dinner plans, you ask? Drinking Pliny the Elder at Russian River Brewing Co.

We had our first night below freezing.  It had been raining and raining, but the rain usually clears out when it gets cold, sometimes with a flake or three.

It's beautiful here today.  I was musing about going to the game, tickets on SH are $50, which indicates they are playing UMass et al.

Smart says he's running out of players on the OL, which is true in effect.  Not good going into the post season unless some get healthy.

The team is starting to look better even against decent competition.  They still can't score from the one.

Greetings from soggy Bermuda. For 6 days at sea, no rain at all. Get to a destination? Rain. Heading out of here late today, for Miami. Been a very interesting trip for sure.

Beautiful part of the world.  Post a photo if not too inconvenient.

hosting a watch party at the house this morning

small crowd, maybe 3 or 4.  Could be just me, no commitments yet

cool and windy here, similar to Lincoln.  Could limit the passing game

Probably not. With the Jetstream going west->east, the "Camp" fire up in the Sacramento area will be considerably east of us. That said, we'll be headed that direction Monday to go up to Oregon, so we might see it then.

Always give cash (check or gift card) in $18 increments.    The duration?  That can vary, depending if you're attending the Service and the party, or just the party.
