Boy, Georgia is playing like crap.

Georgia is missing something on offense.  I have a notion Fields may end up starting by end of the year.

This is not the No. 2 team in the country.

Well, Florida pulled it out.  I'm beginning to believe in our defense.  We had really missed Reese in the middle.  Even losing our 2nd CB early with targeting, everything went okay.

The offense is still a limp pencil.  The best news on that side is the near eliminiation of major errors.  I guess that's the first step before you start piling on points and what-not.

At times, I think "we" conclude too much from the results of one game, or even two.  At times, conclusions are obvious though.

The UGA OL is not as good as last year's edition.  One guy is injured and I think they miss the one guy they lost to the draft.

Eventually, all that mass appears to wear on opposing defenses and some holes open up.  A team with depth can counter that.

The last two games have not been "pretty".

I'm pretty bullish on Florida's defense.  Mullen will get the offense fixed, may not be this year though.

Not sure what to make of UGA.  Clearly extremely talented, not quite putting it all together at the moment.  But nobody has come close to scaring them either, so....

MSU doesn't look as good as I'd expected considering what they have to offer on the lines.  Not having Mullen anymore is probably a bigger deal than I imagined.

Kentucky.....I don't even know what to say.  Both lines are playing so much better than I expected.  Maybe they've found a way to Kansas State themselves into competence.

LSU....not really a top 5 team but I see why they're there right now.  Still 3-4 losses lurking in the coming weeks.

UGA is one of the youngest teams in the country.  Nearly 70% of the team is made up of freshmen and sophomores. Not an ideal team to take to the Bayou.  One would think they would get better from week to week, but I am not seeing it yet.

Welcome to this entire decade of LSU football.  Perennially the youngest team in the conference, except I believe two of the last 8 seasons when Tennessee was younger.  A big point a lot of Tiger fans are watching is can Coach O reverse the 3-and-done trend Les started, and does he even want to.  As a recruiting tactic, Les really sold the NFL pipeline.....and to great success, as far as the talent was concerned.  But leaving asap became the standard rather than an exception or even a "we'll see."  Some guys left who were solid players but had no business getting in the draft.  Found out the hard way it's hard to compete when across the total schollies you average a year younger than your main division rivals.  Waiting to see if O can change the culture and occasionally get some juniors and RSsophs back.
What you're talking about at UGA is hopefully happenstance and not planned.

The "Internet discussion" about Fromm versus Fields has really heated up since last week.

Kirby is going to have a balancing act on his hands, especially if the Dawgs drop a game at some point due to paltry offensive production.

i'm tellin' y'all the dawgs are playing conservative and vanilla, making sure all the potential moving parts move as required with little stress or friction before they put the pedal down.... they've found friction, as it is, and instead of doing like a lot of teams do by shifting focus away from those parts, Smart is working them carefully in game time environments.  they're setting up, i'm thinking, to break one off on somebody in a big way.

Why are so many people ragging on Georgia? They have beaten the crap out of everybody they have played so far. I don't understand. Maybe they need to beat everybody 60-0.

Cuz they don't look like Alabama.
I think also their first three games were put to bed early and it became an expectation that would continue with Mizzou and Tennessee.

I think we're about to get some clarity on some teams this weekend, not all of them of course.

If UK wins at A&M, they are going to impress folks, including me.

Same for Florida, or LSU, though LSU has already passed a couple of tests.

UGA and Bama play conference games but against apparently over matched opponents, though Vandy can give UGA all sorts of problems in the past even in Athens.

LSU/UF should be a close game whichever way it goes.  S&P+ doesn't see a lot of difference in the teams either.  If either team runs away with it, might mean one team had an off day or a coaching staff really won the gameplanning battle.

Usually, an unexpected run away means unexpected turnovers and/or special teams breakdowns/throughs.
